Count down to the release of FFXIV

24hrs ahh~~!! I am bored. I don't know what to do than refreshing this forum.

What are you guys up to.

I'll likely get some rest in and gather some snacks to keep me covered while gaming. I'm also communicating with my friends so we can start partying up as soon as we log in. Among other things, spend some time with the wife and kid.

Err... 12.5 hours?

It's closer than 24 hours, lol. For Central NA it's 4am tonight.

Off topic, with all this restrictions on the post-count, I'm making a prediction... "New Player Help" will become the new 'general discussion'.

One of our fellow community members made a nice web page with the status of the servers and the count down to launch of Pre Plan and regular Plan, enjoy....

they did a nice job.

It's less than 12.5 like the last poster said. Also, it's 4am for Central NA. 2am is for Pacific NA.

Personally I plan to go to bed at the 8 hours left mark and try to wake up about half a hour AFTER early access begins, anticipating half a hour of bugs.

OOps. you guys are right. Still 12.5hrs is still long! I am trying to find stuff to do before I head to bed early.......

Lol, I knew that. I got a little mixed up on the time and said the PDT time rather than my time. It's ALWAYS 4am for me, so I knew that.

Cool i was hoping for a website with a countdown status and server info, you did not disappoint.

Not sure who created that but deserves considerable praise for doing all that, wonder how hard it was or if it was easy, was it fun to do? Might email him asking all that. lol

pacific NA here we start at 2am im gona go to bed early and wake up at 2am to play before I got to work but after work I have a 3 day weekend woot!!!

sleeping a few hours before so i can enjoy my weekend, :), let see.. bed ... check , tv check , connection check , patch check, FC check, no service problems check, snaps check, drinks check, musci check.... i dont thin k i forget anything :D . I ready to go :D.

The best thing for me is that college starts on monday, so I have to adjust my sleep schedule to go to bed at 10pm and wake up at 6am ANYWAY. FFXIV is giving me another reason to. <_<

Mostly reading up on some of the ins & outs of FFXIV (it's a slow day at the office). The open beta weekend was my first time playing the game and I had a blast. I can't remember when I was this excited for the release of an MMO.

Now if I could just make a decision on what class to stick with for my first 50. Being able to play as every class on one character is both a blessing and a curse for a huge alt-o-holic like myself.

Can't go wrong being a tank. There aren't enough tanks out there, we get insta queues.

Yoshi San did wish for more...esp Gladiators etc..... i started one by chance so maybe it will pay off in the end, but still have more quest work to do. See you all on the other side soon :)

There's a server status log right in the client. It's the pink meteor icon at the bottom called "World". Looks like this:

The client can't really be trusted for this purpose because you could be called to have to restart it and update at any time. Using a webpage is a lot better-- also, the webpage LOOKS better.
