Torrent Download of Patched Client (23/8-2013)

Some people seem to have issues getting the Launcher to Patch,
I uploaded my EU Client (don't know if it matters for NA if it's an EU client),
if you are stuck with patching issues try this out.

Please don't forget to seed, everyone. A 2:1 ratio is advised.

How do we make this work? Last time around in 1.0, I remember we had to do some workarounds in order to get these to work.

Just download this, copy it over your other folder and overwrite everything.

I'm about 90% sure that these work "out-of-the-box" so to speak. If I run into any problems, I'll update my post or just post here again.

Put the downloaded patch file which should be labled like this: D2013.08.22.0001.0000.patch or something pretty darn close, in the following folder:

C:\Users\xxxx\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\downloads\ffxivpatch\4e9a232b\patch

Where xxxx is your username of your login or path you use on your machine. I withheld mine for security reasons.

Common people why would you download but not seed for others ?

Its sad that support for anything SE related is so bad that the only help you get is from other players. Its been this bad since FF11 days.

zilver can you upload just the patch files so i can just copy paste it in my patch folder its supposed to be here C:\Users\xxxx\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\downloads\ffxivpatch\4e9a232b\patch thanks been getting that server not responding problem

thanks zilver but i need the other one thats the patch info file there are 2 in that same folder same name but without the info on the end of the name and of course bigger file size around 1gig thanks

.patch file doesn't exist in my folder any more, sorry

the patcher probably deleted it already after installing it well thanks for trying really appreciate it i sure wish square would put the file out for manual patching option

It's different to 1.0 where we can take the torrent file and download with a working torrent client. Now not just no torrent file but there's no patch file left after installed too. I don't understand why this problem never fix since alpha test.

Yeah I'm running into this same issue, I have really terrible internet which cuts out constantly and makes me lose my progress downloading the patch, been searching desperately for a resume-able download of the D2013.08.19.0000.0001.patch but no luck as of yet, patcher points to 165.254.42.91 but no idea where the file itself would be

I'll do my best to seed this! I had a lot of trouble downloading the client (and the latest patch) because my internet can be spotty, so I want to help others out as best I can.

I was really hoping they would have fixed this from 1.0

Having the same issues.

We have folks unable to download patcher & getting Errors . Can we please get a Support team member in here to help us, PLEASE????

I'm having the same problem. I had to download the client via a Torrent for P4 and now I have to do it all over again because of this last minute update. I really shouldn't have to re-download the entire game every time an update comes out. I've played a lot of games, never had to resort to a Torrent to download an update...

Any work around for not being able to patch on the PS3 version?

Haven't heard of one yet, but I'm bumping this in the hopes of getting more seeders.

I get two errors when using your link:

"source computer not turned on! This will not work unless the torrent is already seeded by several others."
"The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable"

It would be better if SE made a separate files for manual patch download rather than client-based download for patch. It is very annoying when we as user who failed at downloading huge chunk of file and have to restart the download rather than resuming the download. Not all of us have a good internet connection.
