I have played a healer in every MMO i have ever played but this time around i am rolling summoner, but my friends are already demanding that i change to white mage so i may end up back on a healer. But i wanted to try DPS this time around, but i have always done the healing so combat is harder for me because i am used to watching health bars of the party.

Playing the healr can get harrowing at times. But I stand proud as the giver of cures!

I've que'd up as a tank a few times...didn't have to wait as long as DPS but still no where near as fast as when you que as a healer.
That might change a bit when there are more scholars but for now, The mages in white are your only hope!

why even bother searching for a tank! I could tank just fine in FFXI as a white mage there, i'll find a way to do it here as well.

I played dps primarily in 1.0, but am switching to a full healer in ARR. Will main WHM, and work on the Arcanist class and related jobs.

The secret of remaining DPS amongst your friends, is to never let them know you can competently play a healer in the first place. ;) ( I know well as i used to play a healer in many games prior (even FFXI), I just would rather not deal with the ungrateful nature of gamers these days who feel the need that if they have a good healer on their side, it's perfectly fine to take unnecessary damage. :/ )

So yes, while I used to be a proud healer, I am no longer. I may do so from time to time... It really depends if I get the right people to play with. :) ( I do have White Mage at 43 after all, I might as well.) But for now I mainly play Bard. :)

I'll be doing what I did in XI ... healers to max, then tanks to max, then dps (probably BLM) for fun. WHM/Scholar inc!

i stand proud to be a healer in making but until lvl 30 i must play as DPS T___T oh the horror, but scholar (and fairies) worth it!

I got into healing in early beta and haven't looked back since. This is my first MMO where I prefer healing to anything else!

I'm primarily a BLM, but play WHM a lot more lately. They get parties quicker, and have a better looking outfit. lol I'll probably be primarily healer in this game. At least until I get some BLM gear that doesn't look terrible, or at least will allow you to see the face of your freakin character.

Also, I'm one of the best healers ever, which surprised even me! Seriously, if I had a dime for every time I saved my entire party after an overzealous DPSer did something stupid in beta, I'd be wealthier than the Sultana.

I shall become the number one Scholar in teh worldz!!!!

Lifetime MMO Healer here. Its what I enjoy, its what I'm best at and it gets me 3/4 whispers as soon as I login on regular occasions. :p

Time to find me a Roegadyn tank to become best friends! ^^

Healing is very addicting, I keep getting back to it no matter how many playstyles I try, and it's definitely great fun in ARR, but there hasn't been any challenges yet, so I'm hoping to see something really hectic later on.

I always level a healer after my 1st DPS, used to be 1 of the few meleeing WHM's in FFXI XD. Healing can be fun if you do it right~

Lancer here, but I may have to go white mage to keep my group together for progression and so we can avoid Duty Finder ques... I played healer for most of my WoW experience. Kind of thought maybe I'd be able to dps this time around... ><

Conjurer here. Thankfully the free company we are forming has a lot of people who want to do heals, so I may try for Thaumaturge in the future... However, I cannot deny that playing tug of war with the Health bars is fun :D

When I ask people how I'm doing at healing, they tell me I'm very good at playing dps classes. :p

I'm such a good healer that sometimes people on boss fights people ignore most of the adds and just focus on the boss while i get ganked by the mob. Usually they think there's nothing going wrong because I'm able to do a tank/kiting while healing everybody at the same time.

Oh also, healer is fun because in my perspective, my enemies aren't really npcs.. its more like the players themselves. Kind of like a pvp way. You see I'm not really fighting monster necessarily but more like fighting against you to not let you/anybody die. If someone dies, its my lost. The more skilled or knowledgeable the player is the easier my enemy is. The worst and bad players out there the harder the enemy is. Which is fun to have those because it pushes my boundaries and makes the game challenging and fun for me.

Being a healer from many mmos have let me to appreciate bad players out there. I know most people complain about how bad/rude they are but hey... the game would be pretty boring if everybody always cleared things easily without no difficulty at all.
