I think this pushes us right to the 10 gig mark. :)
But we do know a lot more is coming, it's going to be sweet. :) (As for the date of the more, it could be 2.1 etc, not saying more patches today, but who knows.)

Yeah, Client is around 8.5G currently. So 1g compressed would be around 1.5G, which brings us to the 10G mark.

20 hours from now. So 5am EST.

That's assuming the 1.5GB doesn't replace files already existing, not that it matter because quality over quantity :)

Why are you so concerned about the file size? If they want you to have it they will let you have it. If this is what you need to play then so be it.

Just done with patching, now to wait for the next patch. MY CLIENT IS READY!

I tried on PS3 but said I didn't have an active service account, I did try with the phase 4 beta client and I know I don't have to uninstall it. I'll have to try again when I get home. I did apply my early access to my accounts, so I guess I'll have to wait and see.

That or I'm doing it wrong. :S

I guess the thing that concerns me on this, is that I did register my pre-order and have my code and everything. I'll try again this afternoon when I get home. I am also PC legacy so I'm not too worried, but would like to fish from my PS3 this weekend a bit. :)

Ok, what exactly does the bolded text mean? If it means you entered the pre order code and received an email with another code, that second code is what you will need to register.

Just ran the patch on ps3 its 757Mb and it confirmed my pre-order items ^^

he does have a reason to be concerned. The reason being that when 1.0 went down they said the file size would be the same and 1.0 was 20 gb

I'm pretty sure that all of us are getting about 10gb worth of data right now. Maybe they'll update the patch again later on in the day. It's just speculation, but perhaps they're uploading the data in smaller increments so it would be easier to keep, instead of one large patch. I know some people have had issues where if they were disconnected during a patch download they had to start over from the beginning.

Not only what Malix said. But if you look at the system requirements on the store page it also says that you need 20gigs of space for the installation of the game. Which in turn is of equal size of 1.0 (still have that box here). So yeah i am also wondering where that 10gb is that we are "missing" right now...

I'm a 1.0 player and im also getting the no valid or active service account. I have an EA code to use tho, and just don't have anywhere to plug it in. Where does one do this?

That means you're not a legacy player then. is it a 20 digit code or shorter? if it's the later just go to the link that's with it in the email and redeem it there. When prompted login with your usual account details and from there it speaks for itself tbh.

It's a 20 digit EA code. I didn't use the pre order code because I already have an account, and didn't need a new account, I just needed EA. I gave the game code to a friend, and he tossed me the EA code in exchange.

I was under the impression it was simply supposed to ask for an EA code upon attempting to login, and you'd just have to plug it in and be good to go. Is this not the actual case? Were the mods wrong?

Ok, found what I was doing wrong, since I had P4 client installed, I didn't enter in my PSN code to my account, however, after doing so, I'm ready to rock and roll. It's patching the PS3 version now. :)
