Depends on the rarity of the materia and tier of the materia. Sense there were alot of variations like str materia IV, one would have +10 another would have +15 and so forth its hard to say if you would get the same amount every time.
single materia 10~50, double melded 50~???, triple melded 200~????.
The NPC menu lists all the values of all your gear when you talk to them before you trade them in. It varies based on number of melds and what tier they are.
everyone, thank you for the information :)
Seals/tokens?? Trade that shizz in fo TOMESTONES!
To put some idea to the numbers. The Highest Tier Wand of Tremors with Double Tier IV meld is worth 200 Seals. Triple Tier III Int Cavalier Hat was 300 Seals. While a Tier IV Strength Single Meld Cobalt Caligae was 50 Seals.
I don't know the full formula but here are some examples:
Double meld Tier IV: 200
Double meld Tier III: 100
Triple meld Tier IV: 600
Ok so so does anyone know where info is on what u can buy with them and how much they cost ?
Thanks a ton, did not know this info was out yet ^^
Lets say you only have enough tombstones to buy nothing. I got around 250. Are they useless?
Will there be more ways to earn them?
Will there be cheaper stuff to buy?
What about remainders?
Tomestones are the token system you get from dungeon runs so that you can work your way towards items you want if you get unlucky with drops.
Seen so many people eagerly traded for iLvL70 Darklight items although they were inferior in stats comparing to iLvL90 AF +1s. However, being able to fit a lot more classes with one set of gear seems like the way to go atm.
It's not said outright but it's extremely obvious if you look at all the details.
- Tomestones have their own section in the currency tab, and there is a higher tier tomestone as well as the ones used for darklight. They wouldn't put it in here if it was a temporary thing that barely anyone could use.
- The NPC sells more than just tomestone items, so she's likely permanent.
- If this was only for the cracked materia it would have just been handed at the Salvager
- Revenant's toll is a short distance away from quite a few high level dungeons, so it's likely a hub for dungeons that drop those stones.
That's because you can't buy the AF+1's with the stones you get for trading in melded gear... their stones are different and likely come from labyrinth of bahamut.Quote:

>.< The whole cracked material thing is bothering me, the points seems so low especially that I have some triple meld items from version 1.0 which are now worth 200 points, and the average item you can grab for about 300 to 350 points, that seems a little unfair! please square at least make them 1 for 1 trade in :(
the ones your referring to are Tanking gear that are body & head / Legs & feet, those are just ridiculously expensive, I would just farm them :)
You can't trade philo stones for that gear anyway, it takes myth which is assumed to come from either LoB or Crystal Tower.
Those pieces fill up two slots, either head and body or legs and feet. Which is why they're more expensive than others.
thank you guys. I had enough to get the body, legs and feet fro my thm...
I've calculated that it would cost 5,010 tomestones to get a full Darklight set of Casting. I realize info might still be scarce on this topic, but... how many failed dungeons do you think it would take to get this many tomestones? I can probably get about 1,000 for old melded gear, so am I looking at days/weeks/months/a year of casual play? And by "casual play," I mean about 1 dungeon a day.
