Best/Favorite DOH Class?

Wondering what all the crafter out there think the best/Favorite DOH class is and why they think that.

Lets show some love for our Favorite Class

I think Weaver is the best class followed closely by Blacksmith. Mostly for the fact hat you can craft the field gear you need to be able to be more effective, instead of having to buy it and who can argue with a class that makes the Tools for the DOH classes

Vendors suck! Make all your own stuff. Get dat Gil!!!

I honestly don't know yet.

At the end of 1.0 I realized that I had the best chance of leveling my DoH classes because of the dated recipes that were still around. So I leveled 4 different DoH classes to 50 - 10 days each. CRP/WVR/LTW/ARM. My first DoH was GLD. I still have BSM to go.

I really was wanting GLD to be my favorite. It was a dud in 1.0 but I'm hoping in 2.0 its much more popular!

GLD did you mean Goldsmithing?? its gSM gld is gladiator but yeah GSM is fun and very profitable if you are mining all your raw jewels Jewels = Gil

ALC and WVR so far are my favorite, but I haven't tried out GSM yet.

Did not play in 1.0 but I have loved GSM and BSM during phase 3 and 4. Mainly because I actually enjoy mining and find it a breeze to level them because of that.

I really loved Leatherworker in B3 but in B4 I apparently got sucked into Goldsmithing and armorsmithing........ how I don't know since the only classes I have leveled atm are casters :S

ive always loved goldsmith. materials are mostly easy to find and hq jewelry was pretty easy to make in 1.0.

I like WVR the best, because of the positive feedback loop for stat bonuses. In OB I just kept all my gear and then used it to quickly level a bunch of the other crafting classes. And the gathering gear too! You can't go wrong with leveling weaver first.

100% It's been a blast to craft gear that enhances my crafting and gathering, every other DOH class should go much smoother after Weaver is leveled up sufficiently!

I can't even describe how much I love weaving as a class! It's incredibly useful, and fun too! =D

I was doing carpentry throughout phase 4 for my main crafting. Didn't get it very high but that was because I was mainly focused on leveling the lancer class xD Carpentry is fun and can make some polearms so it helps. Not sure if I can still make them in later levels though.

Starting out with Weaver here as I enjoyed it while testing it in Beta and it seems to be more practical for a caster. Going to focus on Carpentry second as I want to be able to make all sorts of furniture when the opportunity becomes available.

Edit: Realistically I plan on leveling all of the DOH/DOL before I level and DOW classes.

Love weaver. I develop it alone with my Botany.

Armorer, Blacksmith, And culinarian. Limsa cat.

Only tried the one so far, but it's probably going to stay my favorite and that would be Alchemy. Having a blast with it :-)

I like LTW because none of my friends want to level it because there's no associated DoL! I'll probably level everything though, already halfway there.

How is blacksmith? Thinking bout trying it since I read we can make our own weapons.
How does it work? And are the weapons we make any better than the ones we can buy?

Oddly enough, I'm digging the Carpenter. It doesn't really make anything particularly awesome, but I'm having a blast making sawing noises and growing out a mustache. Both of which are disturbing my roommates.

CORRECTION: Wood shoes are awesome.

Personally, I am hooked to weaver, leatherworker, blacksmith with a small attachment to armorsmith and goldsmithing tailing off. I have all DoH @ 50 and the leatherworking/weaver can make all the gathering gear sets, which is awsome. There are a few odd pieces that are made with the other classes tho. The BSM is simply for all the offhand tools. Those make a huge difference with the way the stats are all combined. If I had to pick a single DOL class tho, Weaver would take the cake currently.

Im new to the production system, im a new AAR player and im a carpenter lvl 15, when making items lvl 15-20 from the crafting log, it seems many of the materials needed arent sold in the npc in the carpenter guild, where can i find such materials like iron ingot.

can i buy the, at another store? or do i have to create another DoH and DoL just to get this materials?

i also tryed the market but they only sell raw material, and i cant process it soo..

please help?

I think your going to have the best luck either 1) raising your other DOL/DOH classes in tandem, 2) buying off the Market Boards. You might be able to get a little further finding odds and ends in other places but towards the higher levels, if you cannot achieve some way to obtain the materials yourself, it is going to be very costly in terms of materials. The leve's no longer give you the mats to make stuff like they used to in 1.0 so its going to be much more efficient to be able to gather/synth your own supplies imho. I hope this helps.

I'm loving GSM. Having mining also means that I don't need to buy mats much. Plus I just got to the level 30 silver set jewelry and that's stuff is great! I wish I could bundle it to sell on the Market.

ARM is kinda fun

ARM for me too, I love making my own armor :)

Culinarian is too cool! I love to spend time doing many recipes and use them later on quests :)

Totally love them. After i'll hit 50 with my bard, and after i'll finish main story quest, i'm doing Alchemist and Culinarian for the simple love of it. And Weaver because i'm IN PURE LOVE with the alchemist final dress. I'm gonna work so hard to make it. >_> SOOOO HARD.

I gotta say that Alchemist and Goldsmith are my favorites. (They also have the best outfits!)
Weaver and Culinarian are really close behind those 2 though ^^

Hard to say. I haven't even left Gridania yet. I wish it was possible to have access to the other crafts without having to level one of the War/Magic jobs up to level 20 or something first. I just want to be able to make stuff. Oh well, I'll still do what needs to be done to get access to the other stuff.

Armorer is my main followed by black smithing and carpentry. I try to level all my crafts and Field crafts so I can forge my own gear and weapons but by far I Looove armorer, also I make bank with armorer. I tend to give away a lot of the low level stuff that i HQ to new players since no one really buys it on the marketboard anyway and it's always nice to help out the newbies with something a bit sturdier than their weathered weapons and armor.

2 Quick questions

1. Does armory bonus apply from DOW/DOM to DOH? Since im 50 on a disciple of magic will I get the armory bonus for crafting skills?

2. anyone figured out the fastest crafting skill to level?
