when can 1.0 players log in?

Hi i was under the impression that 1.0 (not legacy) players could log in on launch date.
But a friend of mine told me that 1.0 players would play on Sept 9-10
Is this true?

Now another question, I formated my pc and i'm reinstalling all my Software.
I backed up the FFXIV folder where i installed the game.
Is there a way i can avoid downloading the 6gb+ of data?
Can i download the launcher and point it to where the FFXIV folder is ?
do i make any sense LOL
(i use to backup FFXI in this way)

Doubt you could point it to the new folder, you'd need to place the folder and name it exactly what the original directory would be called, and see if it'll just scan through it and patch as needed.

I think your friend just got some dates confused. As part of the Welcome Back program, 1.0 players can play for free until September 9th. As stated above, you can start playing the 27th.

All registry values would be missing....if you could fix that, then you wouldn't have to reinstall :p

Hi Guys, I Pre ordered and ready to go with EA Now i know E access starts saturday 24. today in uk at 00.00 will i be able to log in or will there be a wait time or an official lunch hour.

Early access starts 2AM PDT/10AM GMT for everyone. It's announced on the launcher.

FOr 1.0 users I believe SE is working o a backup option for a current install point (to that point of updates) in order to later install. Just have to wait to it is available in the S E account area.

You can back up all files in the folder structure and place it back on a system, install the installer interface, and it will re-establish the registry info and update files as needed after a check.

Download and reinstall the base ffxiv (109MB) file then copy the files from your backup and overwrite the new ones you installed. Small update and job done

Will v1.0 players have crowd the servers w/ new players to setup a subscription plan at mogstation on 27 Aug?
I'm hoping we can enter the game straight, and have until 9 Sep to setup the subscription plan.
