Forum name change

Is it possible to change my username on the forum? I want to change it to what my characters name is now. I can't seem to find info on it using the search or under FAQs. Thanks!

According to the Official Forum's FAQ you cannot change your nickname once it has been created. Although it was referring to the Beta Tester Forum, I'm sure it would apply to these new boards as well.

I didn't even get to choose a forum nickname when I logged in, I think it just gave me my old one from the 1.0 Lodestone and not the one I had for the ARR Beta Forum.

Beta forum names are gone it looks like. I was a little confused at first but it looks like everything Beta related was deleted. You either use your old Lodestone log in name or have to make a new one.

It seems none of the data, including nicknames and posts, from the ARR Beta Tester forum were transferred to these new boards. The user data here was transferred from the original forum. This means nicknames that were created and attached to an account for the original forum will remain unchanged here on the new one.

If you didn't create an account for the original forum then you will be asked to choose a nickname regardless of already having picked one for the ARR Beta Tester forum. The name you picked for the ARR Beta Tester Forum could be available again here, assuming someone different hasn't already claimed it.

Well I read the text when I choose my name and it explicitly said you have to be careful because you cannot change it afterwards.

Wish they gave us a one time change..... For the 1.0 users anyway.

As already mentioned above - it's not possible to change and everyone will get warned about that upon selecting the screen name when first time logging into forums. Sorry but you're stuck with what you have ...

Outdated forum name I always used . Not the worst I could have done, but I'd like something more relevant. :3 Not holding my breath though.

I should have foresaw FFXIV 1.0 completely busting, which would lead to an eventual free character-rename three years later.

I chose this forum name like... two years ago now?

I wish I could change it, since the forums and everything in the game has changed.

you know, I can't even find where to change my avatar or signature, my settings in user cp just doesn't have those options, wtf.

edit: and... logging into the lodestone made it appear.

Yes, I would like to change my name too. Because now i care what my name is.

Well, this is a necro.... But I gotta agree, it would be nice to have that ability.
