I noticed during phase 4 i had the option to log into two different service accounts, but didn't have the chance to figure it out before the beta forums went away. I'm not exactly sure what is going here, but if anyone can help, that would be great.

Maybe you registered a second beta key to your SE account. Since there was already a service account registered with a beta key it created a new service account.
It happened to me in beta3 after I registered the beta key that was included in my PS3 promotion code email, thought it was also for the PS3.
I have now just deactivated the service account I don't use. -

I have the same problem. One of them supposedly existed since 2010, and I'm sure I didn't have anything to do with FFXIV back then at all. Now I'm in a bit of trouble though, as I'm afraid of activating my code for either of my service accounts, for fear of using it on the wrong one. I tried to check the Lodestone to see which account has my character on it as the code redemption page told me to do, but the Lodestone says my account doesn't have any characters on it, which is bogus. Does anyone know how to make sure I activate the code on the correct account I used during Phase 4?

i have the SAME issue, i think it happened when it prompted me for EA perks and it listed a deleted characters name so i by instinct clicked "create new service"...

I have the same. Although I registered twice in July (they sent me a different Beta code after phase 3 had ended), it's only in Aug that I had the v1.0 service.
It's probably safe to delete. I registered my codes on the v2.0 account and now my Service Account links to my characters, or else I wouldn't be posting here.
The one with your characters is the one you selected to log in through when in P4. -

I had the same thing when I registered 2 beta accounts during closed beta. Are you a legacy player? or are you a new player who maybe played open beta? If you are a new player that played open beta then you will want to remember which one you used to create your char.
I used my service 1 and canceled the service 2. Someone mentioned that they did this during OB and it stopped the prompting when logging into the game about which service you wanted to use. -

If you are not sure, I would hold of canceling either until EA. When you are logging in and it should ask you which service you want to use. I would check both to see which one has the char you want to use and cancel the other.Quote:

Must have done something wrong when i did beta, that makes sense. When i connected my PS3 version, it looked like #2 was empty while #1 had all the items from various editions. Thanks. :)Quote:

literally JUST got off the phone with Square-Enix 2:08 PM EST and the guy CONFIRMED if you hit "create new service" it automatically transfers everything you've done in P4 ALONG with any bonuses you incur through pre order.
He read off my characters name, the times i played everything. so DO NOT be alarmed if you have 2 service accounts all characters are instantly shifted to the most recent one as far as i know. He told me not to worry about deactivating my old 1st "service" which is just P3 data because it simply does no harm.

Well if you're like me, and have a 1.0 CE account on one service account, and your beta character on another service account (no idea how this happened) You're stuck
