The official launcher is now up

It contains a small patch for the launcher and allows people to download the game that haven't yet.

Wow that was quick! So... I guess the whole P4 client that's about 9GB is the one that is gonna be used in EA?

Can confirm.

SE announced at the end of phase 4 that the phase 4 client would be the one used for EA and Release. Lets try and keep this up the top of the forum for people who need to download it to see.

Looks that way yeah.

We can probably expect a relatively sizable patch on launch day to get things fully up to date. Depending on how devious Yoshi-P is feeling I wouldn't be surprised to see them hold off on that last patch until Friday to stop people going crazy over any datamined balanced changes heh

Eh... Launcher is great and all.. But I'm still here holding this pre-order code feeling kinda derp... And it's an AAAAAA-111-AAAAAA-111 code... and the site link on the launcher sends me to a page that doesn't take this type of code >_>

PS3 confirmed and PS3 pre-order code successfully linked to old 1.0 service account. Was really smooth, just had to log in and link up with my PSN account.

Guys can someone help me ,ive registered back in 2010 the CE of FFXIV on my square enix account but when i start the launcher which i played all beta Phases with it says no valid or active service account is available to play realm reborn.
I must be able to download the full game am i wrong? Thanks in advance

Are you a Legacy player? If no, you have to purchase Early Access by pre-ordering ARR.

Anyway, I guess (not entirely sure. Just basing off previous experiences) that you are only able to download the full game when the official service starts on the 27th since you do not have EA. Back at P4, it was the same thing for players who were not beta 1-3 testers. They could only download when phase 4 was open to everyone, while those who could enter a day earlier were allowed to download first. I have a feeling that it would be the same for EA and the start official service.

Yer my hero. I'd been on the second link there before(it was the one I needed), I just couldn't find it in my web history and the beta forums where shut down. That second link gave me a page that I could enter my code with that then gave me a second code and redirected me to another page to enter said new code. All really kinda confusing.

Pardon my ignorance, but does this mean that despite previous statements, folks who played in P4 will have to download the new launcher as well? I was of the impression that if you played in P4 you would be ready to go on launch day (curse you ebgames Canada for running out of early access codes >:C). Sorry if this has already been answered, but I'm looking for a very clear and concise answer.

The P4 client should be fine to use as it was stated it is the same build as the EA/Launch client. Other than a potential small patch, I think we should be good to go. Only time will tell though.

Im not legacy and got no early acces code but i should still be able to download the full game since i got the 1.0 CE registered on my SE acc

Apparently not since the patching is locked behind login authentication (Probably to ease up bandwidth). If you don't have EA or legacy, no dice. You'll have to wait until the game goes live. Sorry. :(

I am getting this when attempting to update.
Was any of you guys successful at patching the launcher?

Just updated my PS3 P4 client. Everything went well. I was asked to accept the User Agreement and confirm linked service accounts. I was then shown my pre-order items and confirmed early access.

Just to add to the list of "Am I Legacy?"

I owned, and preordered CE 1.0. I have no idea how long I actually paid for. I quit two weeks in, and cancelled my subscription some time later. I participated in three of the betas, and upon login to B4, my character from 1.0 was recovered will all items on a legacy sever. However I am receiving "No valid or active service account is available to play FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn" upon logging into the launcher. So I'm assuming I am not legacy and will not have EA.

Anyone else will similar history?

so if i got this right, Everyone who bought the 1.0 CE of the game, and had a character even if only played for about a 2 weeks, got to participate in phase 3 & 4, but dont get to have early access, T-T atleast i dont have to rebuy the game, anyone have a good way to kill a couple days?

I went to open the launcher last night after i got my EA code, and it was like "Maintenance" do like how it doesn't have (Beta Version) at the end of the name anymore :3
