I like these new forums better. I miss the old design of XIV's forums, and although I never posted in it and such while I played 1.0, I still enjoyed reading through them.

Still, this new design is looking great!

I only hope that we don't get a lot of trolls here from the Beta forums.

Nothing of value was lost. :) Doubt the initial weeks of this new forum's life will be much different though. ^^

Having been here since the start of the Alphas I found it to be quite a sad moment.

I wish I'd noted down everything in that "Things you wish you knew..." topic - that had loads of great info!

Am getting this error when using my new P4 beta char at lvl 20, won't let me post anymore, switched to my lvl 25 from 1.0 and I can post again, but dunno for how long. Kinda ridiculous being limited from communication, when MMOs are supposed to thrive on such!

Interesting! Quite limiting for a new player, but as easy as it is to lvl, I give it a week, maybe two before 1/2 of the new players earn lvl 50! Besides, we should all be playing and communicating in-game for the most part...

Ah yes one of the best and useful threads. One of the tragic losses that I will miss. There were a lot of enlightening posts in there. Ah darn... That thread had the macros I was using in Phase 3. Shoot I should have written them down instead of direct copy.

They imposed limits by level. I think... I read that thread in the... Updates forum (English forum).

i may be one of the few that will miss it there was actually some great posts on there even though there were trolls even they were amusing for the most part

I spent the last 24 hours rushing through the site saving all my favourite discussions, which was a slow task due to a bug the Beta forum had (it's a bug with with VBulletin) that search only goes back about 10 pages and then throws up 'no page specified errors').

Ah well, it's for the best, as the site has served it's purpose, and General Discussion in particular had become such a wretched hive in the last few months especially with all the troll posts and flaming going on. Which is sad given the fact that in the Alpha, it was really tight nit and friendly.

Anyway, rest in digital piece Alpha and Beta forum - Nov 2012 - August 2013.

I heard Yoshi-P tried to press the delete button, but it didn't work, he had to get an old priest, a young priest and some holy water, to exorcise the the demon that dwelled within.

The beta forums were really just a steaming pile of crap by the end of it.

I kinda miss the beta forum tbh, it had a lot of useful threads too. ;<

god it took forever to find out how to register my character on this forum so i could post -.- why the hell make the character banner light up when u click it while it doesnt do anything. instead it had to be some tiny grey star that looked to be there just for show u had to click.

good riddence :) it was depressing

I do kind of wish they would have been kept in an Archive to look at, but eh, out with the old, in with the new.

Don't worry, this place will probably full of the same shit the beta forums were within a few hours.
