Sea of Stars is a fairly casual free company of friendly and spirited players geared towards objectively completing end-game content, while still maintaining a fun, relaxed atmosphere. We've got a mix of both Legacy and brand new players ready to help each other out, so feel free to come say hi!

OUR HISTORY

Sea of Stars is a free company on the Sargatanas server. Our community was formed in June 2010 and was originally based in the 1.0 launch of the game. In the span of three or so months we had accrued about 60 active members on our forums, with 30 or so members that came and went as casual gamers. After the (unfortunately abysmal) launch of 1.0, the guild died down and we maintained a close-knit group of 17 members over the past 3 years. With the upcoming release of A Realm Reborn, our little family of members has started to play a more active role.

We focus mainly on PvE, which we take a fairly casual approach to, while still striving to be at the forefront of new content and achievements. We are accepting all interested parties that we feel identify with our goals. We operate mainly in North American time zones, and the age of our members ranges from 17 to the 40s, but we have no problems with members from outside our current ranges. In our heyday, our members were from Asia, Europe, and Central America, so don't feel shy! If you believe you might be a fit with us, we welcome your company! We accept polite and considerate members of all ages and all nationalities, ethnicities, and orientations.

As the Sea of Stars, our mission is simple: we aim to be the very best at what we do, no matter what your style of gameplay might be. Simply put, we think that as a group we possess the most determination to excel and overcome all obstacles in our MMORPGs and we'll have the most fun getting there. We welcome everyone that would like to join us; we're certain you'll find our environment a safe and fun environment.

Good group of people here, almost always someone in Mumble even when the game is down (playing other games/watching movies together/doing our own thing). Plenty of Free Company chat too though if voice chat isn't your thing. Loving the game so far.

A quick hello and good luck to former Ehmery Bay players from a Sea of Sorrows survivor. I strongly support your new FC tag lol. Any Sea of Sorrow player would enjoy seeing that. I checked your website and see the "The Future of SoS." That was also ironic for me because we used that title for two particularly long and nostalgic threads on our various server forums...:)

Cool EG Community from what I've seen in Ph4 before 3102 Error...

We'll be closing recruitment to friends and family for the time being, as we've gotten to a fair amount of people.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who's applied, and a big warm welcome to all our new members! We've had a super successful recruitment drive, and I look forward to what the future has in store for us. :)

Well, as I said a few posts up, we've gotten to a decent number (probably a bit more than I was shooting for), but that's not to say we're a massive group or anything. I want to try and have a group large enough to consistently do end-game content, but small enough to where we can feel pretty tight-knit. As with every newly-launched MMO, not everyone in the FC is going to be sticking with the game, so I'd like to evaluate where we are in, say, 2-3 weeks and look into opening recruitment again then. If you're still interested, I can add you to my friend list and let you know as soon as we do! :)

Thank you! I'm glad we are too, haha. If you read the OP, you'll know that we kind of fell apart at the launch of 1.0 because the game was horrible...and I mean, who could blame people for leaving? But those of us who were left remained in contact, and last year we started recruiting again for Guild Wars 2. It's thanks to this that we were able to build back up and get ready to kick some ass in A Realm Reborn. :cool:
