08.13 FFXIV Commercial

This was posted like 5 hours ago on the FFXIV YouTube channel. But it's only in Japanese, is there going to be an English translation? I was waiting to see before posting this cause normally they release multiple commercials for JP, EU, NA, etc usually at the same time but 5 hours and nothing besides JP. :P

I wanna know what the guy is saying and stuff. :P

I watched that earlier. I hope it's not a commercial. It's over 12 minutes long. :O It was awesome however, even though I couldn't understand a word of it.

Its better in japanese than it would be in english, they should just text it :P

I need this in english to help promote the game to my friends! :P

Why should it only be in Japanese? I'd like to hear it in English.

I think it's weird for EU/NA people wanting JP or other languages that they cannot understand by listening instead of their own native tongue. :P

I have nothing against other languages, I just want to understand what they are saying. XD

It's a lot longer than a commercial. It's like a mini documentary of the whole game and world. It's freakin' amazing! (IMHO)

I really hope that can get made into English (narrator, graphics, hopefully game UI). It's a great way to clinch the sale after people want to know more. (or after we bug friends enough to take a look at it online.)

It's apparently a promotional video designed to be played in game shops and retail stores in Japan.

I wish there was an English version, as well. :(

Seems giraffes are pretty major in FFXIV.

Although, if they're talking about giraffes... Shouldn't they be showing an Elezen?

SE has never been known for understanding western cultures. look at FF Mystic Quest. that game was just insulting.

Its not a TV commercial. In almost all video game stores in Japan that I've seen, there are always demo videos playing of upcoming games that are used as a type of in depth promotional advertising. Typically there be an little section of the store devoted to that game. Its pretty neat.

I like the live action commercial, but I think we also need something like this to show off gameplay. Give us both, please! :D
