Greetings, Adventurers!
We are pleased to announce FINAL FANTASY XIV: ARR’s presence at Gamescom, which will take place in Cologne/Germany from August 21 to 25, 2013!
Yoshi-P will hold several presentations about the game which will take place on the main stage of our booth.
Furthermore there will be two signing sessions that will run on a first come/first serve basis. So make sure to show up on time.
Presentations and signing sessions will take place as follows:
Thursday (August 22)
- From 2:30 pm to 3 pm (Presentation)
- From 6 pm to 6:30 pm (Presentation)
Friday (August 23)
- From 2:30 pm to 3 pm (Presentation)
- From 6 pm to 6:30 pm (Presentation)
- From 6:30 pm to 7:15 pm (Signing session)
Saturday (August 24)
- From 12:45 pm to 1:15 pm (Presentation)
- From 2:30 pm to 3 pm (Presentation)
- From 6 pm to 6:30 pm (Presentation)
- From 6:30 pm to 7:15 pm (Signing session)
Also players will be able to experience the power of Titan in battle and maybe even play alongside the great Yoshi-P himself! Fame, glory and some really fancy real life gear awaits those that defeat the mighty foe:

I think you guys should join the fight as many times as possible. Even if you see other people do it, it's different when you're on the spot ^^. And while you're waiting for your turn, you'll see many many many people get crushed under by titan's fist :p -

Ok, i'm going to ask a silly question, but i want to be prepared before i set off to Germany next week and i've never been to big events like the Gamescom before... So here i go...
Are there any cafeteria's at the convention, or at least vending machines where you can get a cold drink? I want to bring a "coolbag" to keep drinks and such cooled. I just want to be sure that i won't be stopped at the entrance because i brought along a "coolbag" with something to drink in it. It would be... Rather awkward, if you catch my drift... (^_^; ) -

The restaurant/barbecue marquee on the roof was more expensive than a McD's, but still didn't break the bank. There was a huge hall of food stalls (downstairs iirc) sellling various things in trays pretty cheap if you weren't too picky about what you ate.Quote:

Looking like I'll be arriving Thursday morning at Dusseldorf airport and going back on Friday night. I've looked online to try and find prices for train/taxi each way, but failing. Anyone local to the area know how much that'd cost?!
On to finding somewhere to stay!
Anyway, looking forward to meeting y'all (I will find you!) and getting some photos taken/things signed from my friends here in the forum. :) -

when you carry 1-2 bottles in your bag/backpack they dont say anything.
But a cooling box... idk... never tried >_>
Places to get food and drinks:
at the outdoor areas (that means the spots between the halls. you can stay in the hall to get to the other halls because they are connected but you can also go straight through the outdoorarea) are many little shops with making fresh food. some asian where you can buy fried noodles and stuff and some international snack bars for pizza/burger/fries.
they are all also selling drinks and the most of them coming from a fridge.
In one of the halls is also a coffeeshop (no! not that kind of coffeeshop!) where you can buy some coffee/tea.
In every hall is also a stall selling drinks.
In the Cosplay Village they will probably sell again bubble tea.
