Since we know both Scholar and Summoner use books i'm quite curious about a couple of things.
Do we know of any famous book weapons in the history of Final Fantasy?
When Scholar is a healer and Summoner is not, how are they going to share weapons?
Do you think they will introduce a Staff, or some other weapon to be used as the Summoner Relic, or perhaps just use a famous weapon's name I.E. Nirvana and make it a book?

I think there will be two different relic weapons, but they will both be books.
I can think of only one famous book in final fantasy.

In Final Fantasy 3, the scholar's ultimate weapon was called Omnitome in the DS version.
Maybe Tantarian could be the summoner relic and Omnitome for scholar ? -

The relic weapons were Job only, you couldn't use them without the jobstone equipped.

Name wise who knows.. FF draws inspiration from a multitude of religions/mythologies/etc, particularly norse and eastern in origins.. (Fenrir/Gungnir, Ifrit, and Shiva as some easy and obvious stuff). Hell XIII (and sub-releases) in particular laid it on really thick ^^;
Wouldn't surprise me if they have some good stuff up their sleeves for this, if nothing else I'll have fun trying to track down the references if any. :) -
06-17-2013, 10:07 AMRalosI don't see any problems with them being able to equip the same weapons since they branch from the same class, though it's probable that they'll make certain books job specific, (I.E. if you have a Arcanist/Summoner book equipped, you can't equip the SCH job crystal) otherwise they'll simply be able to equip books with stats meaningless to their job, which isn't a big deal.Quote:

I can't wait to see what epic looking book or scroll they come up with for Summoner and Scholar.
One question though, with all the writing we do in the book itself, how often will we need to replace the pages? :p
