What are the coordinates of those NPCs? Others could check em out and see what they say to determine if it's hardcoded or detecting legacy characters on the account as you posited.

The location in question is at the Aftcastle, Limsa Upper decks, near the gate to lower La Noscea.

This seems to indeed be hard-coded! Congratulations sir on your honorary mention!

Wonder if there are other mentions anywhere. I'd be almost shocked if Moose doesn't have one hidden somewhere.

Edit to add: I tested it using my wife's account, who didn't play 1.0 at all so there would be no legacy data to pull from.

We know a few of the names joked about around here have been dropped into development generators, so we'll have to keep an eye out for where they end up. I'm almost afraid to think of what the denizens of Eorzea would have to say about ol' Moose. (/panic)

This is simply spectacular! Owing to your loreliness, I find it well deserved! I hope to see the other Lore-loving-longers being mentioned somewhere also (The only other one I am familiar with is Anonymoose, but there might be others). I actually really liked Bloody Catapult and Anonymouse Moose as Roegadyn names when I saw it on the list. Glad to see at least one of them implemented. Now the hunt is on, For Red Anonymoctober...okay that was a lame joke.

You can post as long as it have the copyright watermark. Many people getting ban left and right for not having it somewhere on the pic or on there post. You just can't post video/audio at all

NDA is partially lifted. NDA still applies to phase 1 and 2 though. Also no video or audio of phase 3.

Well, there's an NPC named Caitlyn in Drybone who is in need of meat. I dunno if that's you or not though. :P

I hope there's an NPC in one of the hamlets fiddling with a light signal in the shape of an eye that says something like, "I wish Lucke Arrayo was here to show me how to summon Ye Great and Powerful Ferne!"

Would be nice...

Is this different on an unrelated server, like do the names only exist on a server where the character's account has rolled a beta character?
