Yea he announced the new Kingdom Hearts for PS4 but the logo said PS3 :p

But I'd believe it as they especially pointed that fact out and it'd make sense as FFXIV probably should last longer than the PS3 cycle

I've been hoping for a while that we could fight giant FF summons God of War style but actually seeing Noctis fighting a giant Leviathan... wow, I was screaming like a lil schoolgirl inside. Hey Yoshi-P, how about we get some of that in 14?? We've already seen that giant adamantoise, let's fight some aether stuffed giant versions of the summons or at the very least, make the bahamut fight like that =D

Why? You most likely won't have to buy the PS4 version again - at least thats my guess.

A ps4 version is still a ways off, even with the confirmation. So no, I wouldn't cancel the preorder.

They said ps4 is not backward compatible, that means we would have to buy the game again, unless they let us download the ps4 version for free because of having the ps3 version. But I don't think they will do that.
I'm sure the game would run wayyy better in the ps4.

I'll cancel my PS3 pre-order only if they make the PS4 pre-orders available soon, and have a Collector's Edition with it. :V

It's still at least another year away, much like DX11 upgrade..it'll come eventually, tho not anytime soon

A PS4 bundle that includes FFXIV would be awesome. Similar to what they did with FFXI and the PS2 when they launched the PS2 hard drive.

It's already clear that PS4 will be the winner of the console wars atm. If the PS4 comes preloaded with ARR on it, just think how that would help to expand the playerbase.

The guy said earlier in the livestream that all PS4 games can be played via remote play on the vita. So if FFXIV is being made for PS4, it will be playable on vita.

Honestly, I don't see why they wouldn't let you guys do that. The game is tied to your PSN account on PS3, that same account carries over across all Playstation platforms including PS4 when it hits. I'd be shocked if they didn't offer either a free PS4 download or something like a $10 upgrade to people who already had the PS3 version and a PSN account linked to their SE account. They seem to be fairly customer centric in their approach to this reboot so far, so it would only make sense for them to do something like that.

That $400 version has only an 8GB HD (as shown in the specs on Amazon). Way too small. Larger HDs will jack the price up. Wonder if a lot of things will be cloud driven. If so I cannot afford it. I come close to maxing our my monthly data usage as it is.

They will have a library of PS3 games you can access via the "Gaikai" cloud streaming service. In order to be able to play PS3 games on PS4 they will have to add it to the library of games that are available. Similar to how you can play old PSone games on PS3 but only the ones that are for sale on the playstation network.

Not sure if they will make you buy all your PS3 games again or not, and they won't all be available at first anyway.

8GB is the amount of RAM, not the size of the hard drive. The specs of the hard drive have not been released yet.
