What? This is the newest edition of respected Swedish MMO magazine "Level Presents : World of Warcraft" and they're doing a ten-page spread on FINAL FANTASY XIV?

OHHHHHH! I knew that. Thanks Level! You guys are the greatest! Forget that part about the lawyers (they don't listen to me anymore anyway after that spat we had about 'Get to the Copper').

Ok, now I really want to know what this magazine says.

ehhh my friend bought it and after reading it, she proceeds to ripped it apart and burn it because the mag post some misinformation such as "In ARR you can only play with 4 people" like wtf?

Another reason I think SE needs to step up their PR efforts before launch. They can't expect journalists magically to have all the answers or to be able to spend dozens of hours (during a closed beta no less) to chance upon the most marketable aspects of the game.

Hawk the key features and describe dozens of others. Party sizes? PvP system? WTF is a "primal"? Why won't new players be at a disadvantage in a game already 2 years old? Let them know. We would hear much less "FATE cloned GW2" if its first sentence of the press kit mentioned its actual (or even idealized) lineage, mentioning FF9, FF11's Besieged and Campaign battles, etc. It could even describe how it's better and different than the competition.

I don't expect SE or anyone to be perfect, but a little help for these guys would go a long way to helping promote the game clearly and accurately.

They announced they are going to be putting more toward marketing. Which is awesome. People were initially upset because some of that money will be coming out of development...

But you remember the commercials for FFXIV 1.0 when it came out?

Yeah neither do I....

Now they've generated half a dozen different trailers and plenty of worldwide events. They're going to have some sort of Shindig at the E3 too.

They'd better. I'm sick of them hiding from E3 like they're afraid of it. No announcements on Versus XIII, very little mentioned about XIV, and now they brought up a new game for PS4 that they'll probably be afraid to show.

That is an amazing render. The detail is mind-boggling. The discoloration/splotchy-ness of the skin, the imperfections in the armor and weapon parts, the way the feather quills are spread out and imperfect.

Looks like there's some subsurface scattering going on, too.
