Question about CE itens

If i buy the new CE can i apply the itens to my existing account?

I really want to buy the new CE since i didn't get the chance to buy the old one, but im a bit concerned about the itens the CE brings, i would appreciate if someone from SE could answer me this.:D

We don't know but I'm pretty sure they will implement this...

pretty much yes they even said the people who pay for the first CE can get a discount on the new one. So yes you could buy the CE and just use the item code.

Item codes are separate from the account codes. There's nothing that links them to an account code before you input them. You should be able to apply CE items for ARR to your current account.

We'll have to see if they'll apply to already created characters though, as CE item codes from 1.0 only applied to characters you created AFTER unlocking them.

Probably they will, though, or it wouldn't make sense.

Yes, because they come as seperate codes.

No need to worry about items for your CE being restricted to new characters! As long as you apply the CE digital items to your current account, all the items will be given to each character on the account using the Moogle delivery system!

What are the chances of using my codes from the 1.0 CE? You see...cactuar...I registered my codes...and didn't realize they went to my since deactivated Beta account instead of my active account. ):

You can do a live chat and get a new code. I did that by mistake also with the FF13 item.

I've tried doing that like 5 times and they always give me an excuse not to..

Ya T1 support sucks i talked to a T2 support and got it done. But you can't really do it now due to the fact that to put a code on your account is turn off so wait for it to go back on.

This is great news - I've been worried about it too when I heard the issues the original system had (luckily I'd registered my original CE items before I created my characters in 1.0), so now I'll be able to order the new CE when preordering becomes available without fear. :D Thanks Hvinire! :D

I have a question. I bought the CE of FFXIV 1.0 but never registered the Onion Helm.

Basically its been forfeit because I didnt register it? Even though I still have the code?

Something was mentioned before FFXIV legacy game went down (aka 1.0) about this but I vaguely remember what was said. Just looking for clarification if this is the case or not.

I also would like to know if my "buddy pass" that also was not registered is still good or not.

Look at special item codes http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com...e57e858ee82098 it says that you can still register it once code registration is up... I just hope that if you bought it the CE but never registered it (like you bought the Normal version first and then bought the CE later) if you'll still be able to redeem the collector edition gifts...

I bought the collectors edition only.

I hope things go well in that regard. I am slightly unsure if my account is registered as the CE. I hope to have both its since I did in fact buy a CE for the first version and now the new version is coming.

I wouldnt mind buying the CE of the new game, but it would be very pricey to pay over $30 for an item. (Since i get the game for free.)

I would like to know if I buy the new ARR CE will I be able to register that code to my 1.0 character. Obviously I already have a game code registered from 2010. Will we be able to have to game codes registered to one account/character?

Yes you can use the item code from 2.0 on your account and get the item.

So question:

If you log onto your SE account, and click FFXIV will it show "Collectors Edition" or will it just say "FFXIV Windows" if you have the CE? Because I have the CE, but it doesnt say CE anywhere.

It doesn't say CE for me. It just shows I have the Onion Helm item code registered. My guess is that SE tracks that internally by the registration code we had to enter to play.

Ok here's a question, during ver 1.0 I accidentally sold my CE item hermes shoes. Will I be able to retrieve it at 2.0 since the code is registered to my account?

Oh another one! Since I can't edit my post. What about the art and soundtrack and those cards, will us users who pre order CE ver1 will receive it too? It'll be cool if there's a dl version of art cover to print and replace my ols CE cover
