Nostalgia is fine... but my mind is broken from hours and hours of being forced to level BRD (cos PLDs had to solo their exp) then playing BRD and sleeping pink birds.

Pink birds. 10k XP an hour. And I thought that was good. Praise be to Abyssea!

Though I would laugh if there was a quest/achievement in XIV that required you to kill 200 colibri over six hours in one sitting. Laugh and then cry.

i love those birds....they so much fun to fight....

Because you could see them in the last life letter a little hidden in the background (Limsa Area). lol

Yep it's also cheap to just use them and make them H.D for FFXIV. There a lot of mobs in 1.0 that just straight copy of FFXI. I think the other reason for it is that it fit in the world of FFXIV also so why not use it :)

Can't wait to they release more mobs from ffxi. When i saw this pic i thought i was looking at FFXI H.D lol.

I love how everyone Says Clibiri's "reflect" spells. This is not true. They Mimiced the spell cast on them. I know this is true because back when FFXI actually had merit parties before the current add-on exp parties, I pulled them on BRD. As an averagely geared BRD I could put those devils to sleep easy 75% of the time. The fun part is when you're pulling and your Lullaby doesn't stick and I mimics it back at you while your shadows were down and no one has cure. Fun times :0
Though I preferred being on DRG with my Sea pole (I forgot it's name it's been that long) and massacring the beaks off of them. That double attack with an well setup WS gear made them fall like flies and me tank a good 50% of the time. I really miss those days. And I kinda wanna go back and play FFXI but I don't think my friends are playing it anymore. I should check up on them.

The first thing I wanna do in ARR is flare some Colibri :D

It is possible to kill a Colibri before it gets to cast back at you with spells.

Colibris will play a little differently in Eorzea.
Rest assured, your food stays safely "within" you. ::gulp::
