Was wondering what you guys thought was the highest populated english mainly server.
i don't see any reasons for "highest populated english mainly server".
I just wanna join a mainly english server sick of not being able to understand what players are talking about and would like it to be a high population server.
Thank you vicious.
Besaid has a lot I think, I have been on Wutai since release and it seems to be one of the most populated, a lot of EU/NA on there too.
I was thinking besaid i heard alot about besaid trabia and wutai just trying to get a bunch of feed back on English speaking servers and which you guys think are the best.
Lindblum is rather good in this regard too.
I Started off on lindblum and went to gyshal and now i dont understand anyone there lol so im looking again for the highest populated or atleast most active english server.
English Server doesnt necessarily have to be american.
Just so people know. You can copy paste in and out of the chat menu in XIV. IT allows you to use a translate website for atleast some semblance of understanding. If that fails. <Please use the auto translate feature!> is always a night kick int he bum.
Within the proper time periods you see quite a few English speaking players on Besaid. Even those who don't speak English tend to use the auto translate feature a lot. I've had few problems getting a point across to someone in a group. It would also probably help to find an English speaking LS within whatever server you choose.
would be nice to not have to translate everything they say tho atleast the majority of the server. and i noticed that tho there is an auto translate it cant say everything and alot of japanese people dont use it much seeing as how its mainly a japanese game.
Im thinking Besaid is the way to go on this tho i can tell its not as populated as my gyshal i would like to understand more people. i have made a toon on Besaid. LF English LS btw. but ill give this a try and tell everyone how well i think its populated with english speakers.
So far havent seen any japanese people talking ^^ looking much better than my old server. i might stay on besaid
It should be noted that unofficial role-playing server as well, which may matter to some. Personally, I've seen a fair number of Japanese speakers on the server, so I'm not sure it can be said (gigglesnort) that Besaid has the highest number of English speakers.
Trabia and Wutai seem to have the highest NA population by my guesstimation.
Trabia also has the bonus of rhyming with a part of the female anatomy.
The time you're playing also has a bearing on whether or not there will be a higher concentration of English-speaking people. Wutai is pretty active in the evenings Eastern time.
Besaid is the unofficial "role-play" server, so you will very likely find lotsa people there, too.
yeah thats my only worries about besaid im not into rp much but if i gotta settle for a rp server to talk to more english players ehhhh oh well
yeah hope it being an rp server that when engame content comes out it doesnt hinder progression as a whole for the server.
Besaid is predominately English as long as you don't play really late into the night. And it's not like EVERYONE rps. And even so, you can ignore it like a lot of us here do.
most RPers dont care if you RP or not, but be kind and respect the RPers.
Besaid is the unofficial RP server, so there's lots of American players.
Rabanastre has a lot as well.
Honestly even as the "Unofficial RP server" I don't see tons of RP going around. I mean I'll see a bit here and there at the camps but it's generally in say and is easy to ignore. They do their thing, I do my thing. It's hardly worth mentioning unless you want to RP.
KK cool yeah so far im liking the player base on besaid alot better ^^.
With regards to RP, you will see it. Every time i'm running around Ul'dah, its there. But it has been my experience that the RPers keep to themselves unless you run up to them and start talking to them in-character. They don't push themselves on others (like I've seen on some games) so it works out well, I suppose. They aren't -everywhere- either, so if you are not an RPer, you will not feel out of place.
