Producer Live Letter V questions - already answered.

Looking through the list of questions in the Producer Live Section, I notice that many people are asking about things that we already have info on.

No, generic NPCs will not receive voice-overs. The work required to do so would cause an unacceptable delay in patch and update releases.

Partly answered.. From the beginning, Yoshi-P has stated that he wants leveling to be a small part of the game, and he wants to focus most development time on endgame. However, considering that ARR will have a quest/mission based leveling path, there will be plenty of content on the way to the cap, at least for your 1st character.

Zan just to note I think they mentioned a while back that there would be chest in Open world for gathers to find.

There were quite a few questions that were answered months ago.. I guess not everyone checks for news obsessively like we do.

all i really want to know about is large scale events and low drop rate items.

Could you find the link answering my question? I've failed to find it myself despite being used to searching for such things.

Also, although it was initially designed so that you could have multiple jobs, doesn't mean they plan to implement it.. Especially during the building stages of a game, those things can change quite easily ^^.

I dont believe TERA has a stealthy assassin class ;o?

They've already confirmed that they are working on being able to draw and put markers on maps, so you can respond to that one as well.

I like how you think you're dispensing some grand truth to me.

The moogle primal battle was implemented in version 1.0, and would obviously not be considered a new role for moogles, even if altered in some way.

Lots of your answers say things like:

Which means they have not been answered.

So please stop discouraging people from asking about something they have a personal interest in. Its not up to you to decide what is important or what isn't. Thankfully.

Hmm... asking about the PS4 is probably gonna go nowhere, seeing how it isn't even officially announced. I assume acknowledging it's existence in the Live Letter would be a big no-no for SE.

The point Quesse was making was that some questions were not really answered, and until they are, they're perfectly valid questions.

It still doesn't change the fact that he's shutting down questions based on early answers by devs. As far as I'm concerned most of these questions are good ones. Except maybe the furniture one, which was answered with certainty awhile back haha. Not everyone follows news the same though.

Pretty sure the point was, if the developers wanted to answer the questions in full they would answer them in full the first time. Even Yoshida/Fox said they keep getting the same questions over and over that were already answered lol.

No I understand that, I'm just saying that hypothetically I (in my honest opinion) would prefer answers to questions we have NO past response to, rather than just confirming things we most likely know (or know quite a bit of).

But obviously that's a matter of preference.

I wouldn't say shutting down (there's no way for him to officially do so since the questions will stay in the thread and possibly get responded to anyway), I'd just say he's providing some insight for whoever posted those questions as they would seem to be unaware most of those things have been covered before.

Had the OP taken a completely different attitude the idea for this thread could have been a good one. Something like:

"Hey here's some questions that might have some info available already. Hope I can help!"

Instead we get:

"Its that time again :(" Scold, scold, scold, upset, huff, puff.

Well, until they're answered in full, they're still up in the air. Who knows, maybe they'd changed their mind for the next Q&A and decided to answer more questions in more detail because they're further along in the game? It never really hurts to ask. We don't really need a big brother thread telling everyone what should and shouldn't be asked, lol. No offense to the OP, of course.

^^I have to agree with this.

Maybe the OP should have tried coming off a bit... nicer, like answering questions that has answers to them already (or in many cases, half-answers. lol) It might have been received a lot better.

The reason I asked about smn being at launch was because Matsui-san said he would do his best to make it available at launch during the 25th anniversary conference... So I wanted to know will he make it?!

It's been some time since that conference so he should have a better idea if the job will be there or not.:)

Exactly this. Because the development process isn't static, these half answered question may be able to be answered in full.

So summoner job will not be at launch? For some reason I thought Arcanist would be and that they could summon. What is the difference between Summoner and Arcanist? Can anyone help me out? I'm confused.

Arcanist is class. At level 30, you can begin the Summoner job quest. That part has not yet been implemented.

Just like BLM is a job, and Thaumaturge is its base class.

The point of this thread is to:

A) Remind people to do a bit of research before asking a question
B) Give out some useful info for those who perhaps didn't know that their question had been answered already. ;)
C) Spare the devs a deluge of questions that have already been addressed.

THIS.

SE has no choice but to be vague in their responses and cannot make concrete statements until the work is done and the game is on the shelves. Nobody knows, SE included, what content will or wont make it on time. It's just a bunch of hopes and dreams being manifested into reality. That is why Yoshi P respnds to such questions as "will summoner be playable at launch" with answers such as "I hope so!!" because as much as he would like for that to be a reality, the reality of the situation is they have a heck of a lot of work on their plate and not enough time to complete it all. Falso promises will only dissapoint their player base so they must avoid over extending themselves into gray waters.

Hope the dev see this topic because in every live letter yoshi-p answer some question that been answer before. Even tho he does give a little more it just not enough to waste time on the live letter when that could be easy said in the forums later on.

There is others, that one just came to mind. Don't get me wrong though, I'm all for more classes including an assassin.
