Tsunami threat lifted :)
I have a lot of family in Hawaii...hope things go by ok.
oh good it's lifted.
The earth seems very angry lately. I'm waiting nervously for the California shoe to drop.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earthquakes_in_2013
Nine earthquakes have occurred around Solomon Islands/Santa Cruz Islands since January 30. I don't know what will happen. >.< Even though, no deaths have been reported.
in 2011 japan got hit by a 9.0 march now AU get hit 2years later in feb o.o big scale earthquake are becoming more common then they use to or maybe we never really pay attention to them as much as we do now.
Once again i hope everyone doing fine.
It's more common because it reminded me of 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami. It's hard to pay attention because I live in the east coast, 2011 Virginia earthquake was my first time I felt it even I didn't realize what it was until I checked Facebook. =/
We are in the middle of a plate practically (Australia).. Earthquakes don't really happen.. Tsunamis don't really either.. It is highly unlikely we will ever have an issue..
I believe the major threat was Vanuatu.
Australia is fine (TV news media here didn't have it as a major news story tonight which it would have otherwise been if Australia has been directly affected), which is good.
However, from what I heard several villages in the Solomon Islands were wiped out completely by this which is terrible. I just hope no one in the Pacific will be directly affected by this.
