Is anyone else refreshing Lodestone/blog?

I'm not being impatient I just find myself refreshing these two with 5 times the frequency than I probably should!!! :P

Am I alone in this?

Yeah I refresh them whenever I remember.

Wish SE would post some intersting stuff to keep us busy like new equipment concept art or 3D models.

I was hoping beta would be this week, as I have this weekend off from work, but alas, it seems perhaps next week is more likely.

I would like some Lore background. I think it would be nice to read something as opposed to looking at a few images every now and then. But I'll take anything :D

There is always hope that it might be out on Friday (but ya doesn't look likely!)

My suspicion is that SE will announce the start of Beta and send invites by the 8th or 15th. To have the most people logged in during the weekend.

When I wake up, first thing I do is check lodestone :X then I check regularly during the day if something pop up >_>

But my guess is Thursdays, this one for benchmark and next Thursday for beta (is going to stay right in middle of month).

I wouldn't say I hit F5 excessively.. Only every 8-10 seconds.

Hitting F5 like a boss my friend.

Who cares about the blog? I just want my beta email.

4th stage data gets carried over so its technically the same thing

ffxiv.com is down maybe they are updating it or something pretty sure benchmark sometime this week I hope

I just check Lodestone and the Blog once per morning since everything is done over in Japan while I'm asleep. Realistically I probably won't have to check but every few days anyway since their aim is to do the blog twice per week.

This is the 2nd time they've announced that on Twitter, so my guess that Beta is creeping up on us.

Is it supposed to hit this month? I have not been following anything.

Doesn't SE usually release info, updates, blogs, at 3AM est? I don't remember ever seeing them release something mid-day NA time. I wake up check my email/lodestone and then continue on with the day.

I'm betting the 15th myself, releasing it on a friday will allow a ton of stress/feedback within the first 48 hours of it being released as most people will set aside a weekend.

I have seen posts at 3AM EST up till around 9AM EST

You know they might release the beta and the benchmark at the same time and set the date next week. So release beta emails friday and beta begins monday? Or they might not give early download? I have a feeling thats how it was with 1.0 beta but its been so long I can't remember.

Refresh Lodestone, Tab over, Click New posts, Tab over, refresh blog, eat a cheeto, repeat

Really the only exact time to know is if you refresh the ffxiv service account page and see if code list is available. That will be one of the first enabled after the emails are sent. It certainly is possible for twitter, the blog and the lodestone to have a slight delay simply because they have to be written by a person.

I just check the lodestone once around 8:00 AM-ish every weekday morning. If there ain't nothin' then, probably won't be nothin' for the rest of the day. It's the same thing with the forums. These devs are like gnomes, after all; they get everything done while I'm asleep.

As for beta, I'm not expecting anything 'til at least the 15th or so of this month. 'Til then, I'll be melting my brain playing Fire Emblem.

not refreshing lodestone much, more like watching the e-mail icon all the time and jumping everytime I see the "1" appearing... only false alerts so far...

I am with you all. I'm itching to play beta or even hear a bit of news beforehand. It feels like that silence before a storm, and I keep refreshing the Lodestone in hopes for some news to devour :D

i think beta is going to start either on the 15th of february (friday) or on the 18th of february (monday) ... thats around mid february... and then the beta goes for about 1-2 weeks till the end of february..

25th february is too late for the announced "mid" february.. and especially when the beta should run for 2 weeks.. and then 2 weeks for the dev team to work on it till beta in mid of march.

so i say its going to be either the 15th or the 18th

Went to sleep, got up, read the letter, I'm happy \o/ Going to give the F5 button a rest until next week.. :P
