I use the G110 and have liked it quite a bit. How much are you willing to spend on a keyboard? If you can afford it, I suggest stepping it up and getting one of the higher end G-series keyboard. Also, if you can afford it as well, I suggest getting a Logitech G-series mouse to get some more extra buttons. :P
EDIT: Darn it, forgot to include the reasoning. I find the Logitech G110, as long as I use the wrist-rest that came with it, to be incredibly comfortable to use. The headphone/microphone jack on the front of it is also useful for me (since my computer has no front-headphone port. >.<), along with the USB port. It's great for wire management. Thing is also tough. The backlighting is also very nice. And it's great to type with, in my opinion.
I hate logitech!
Razer FTW!
G510 if great! :D lots of macros and space ^^ Though, it takes pretty much of your desk, its big afterall :P Combined with molten mouse i have over 100 macros at my disposition.
well I mostly use a xbox 360 controller for XIV but i'm looking at getting the G510 since it has 18 programmable keys.
<3 my g510. Cannot go wrong with that keyboard.
right now I just have a regular wireless Logitech mouse. I will mainly be using a controller unless they keep the way u can move your character with ur mouse. otherwise
I see what ur saying you gotta be careful lol
the g510 is only 80.00 right now on amazon.
Gaming keyboards are tacky pieces of crap and have the lifespan & durability of a goldfish.
IBM Model M & Das Keyboards mx-blues are the best.

I own a G15, love the macros you can make.

Fully programmable and it lights up :O
Razer Deathstalker, 70 bucks at walmart.
doesn't seem to have programmable keys for macros
My keyboard is the Logitech K120, basic keyboard, no flashy lights (well... 3 for the 'lock' buttons lol) but it will never die on me... unless the guinea pigs get out again and eat my cables! :(
I love the look of the shiny razer keyboard that someone posted earlier but $70 is a lot to pay for a couple of extra buttons ><. I'm with you Dhalmel - basic keyboard models are the way to go! :p
It does. It has a program to download which allows you to make macros, turn any key into any function. Can turn one key stroke into a million commands. Has 2 extra pallets you can switch to maximize your macros/commands.
Does Razer make mechanical keyboard? I've got a Logitech G....5, I guess (the number has rubbed off), for a mouse. Old wired thing, but I love it to death. Still using the keyboard my computer shipped with, and I feel like a change would be nice.

Took a snip so you can see the macro section. ^^

Razer Blackwidow, kinda expensive though.
Yeah, mechanical keyboards are always expensive. Since my current keyboard works just fine, I can't justify the cost. Oh well...
would love a wireless keyboard like all these cool looking ones, sadly there arent many bluetooth gaming keyboards out there
hmm ill have to look at it closer. my current Logitech is sticking lol had it a few yrs now. probably just need to be cleaned but I do eat and smoke at my pc :(
thanks for all your input guys see u all in beta
I use the original model G15. None of the keyboards they've released since compares- 18 G keys, and I use them all. In FFXI, I just bound them to most of the ctrl and alt key combos, so that I could do them with a single key and at the same time eliminate the input lag.
None of the newer keyboards have as many G keys and I can't buy another one until they do one that has all 18 the original had.
I beg to differ- The logitech G15 was awesome for its time (mine has lasted a very long time), and Razer makes great mechanical keyboards- only reason I don't buy one is they don't have all the macro keys the G15 has.Quote:

I don't remember that one, you must be talking about the alternat version of the G15 without the GamePanel LCD. I actually use that- Ventrilo can use it to display server status and who's talking while you're playing a fullscreen game which is nice.
AFAIK, the orignal G15 is no longer sold.
I use a G110, but lost the function of my G1 and G2 keys when I spilled lemonade on it in a bout of panic...my coaster stuck to it and I thought it was a spider <.<
im not sure if outside links are allowed but here is amazons g15

G510 Link the G510 is just an upgraded G15 with more bells and whistles.
i personally have the old 2005-6 G15. its starting to die, so ill be looking for a new mechanical keyboard.
G19 because it is the most bad ass

I use a G700 mouse though..

Logitech G110, I recently got rid of the G19 I had mainly because I found the 110 far more comfortable to type with. The G19 keys I found to be a little stiff, although that might just have been the particular one I bought.
I had a look at the Razer keyboards, but after looking around, non of them seemed to have any good reviews at all. The main complaint being build quality. I can't speak from personal experience though regarding these keyboards.
The mouse, just a Razer 'Deathadder respawn'. A straightforward basic function mouse, but it does everything I need of it.
i use 360 controller, but if you want a nice keyboard get the Dell Alienware TactX USB Gaming Keyboard.
£69.99 over here in the UK, but a very nice piece, good quality.
g510 here
can't go wrong with 3 banks of 18 G keys :D
Plus I LOVE the volume knob <3
