The Lodestone Crafting Recipe Page

Good evening,

The new version of the Lodestone site will feature as much in-game information as possible when it comes to things like crafting recipes! You'll be able to see more detailed information like the items level and stats and such and not be left guessing anymore! You'll also be able to easily search for recipes using updates to the search criteria, too!

Ogre... Making fan sites obsolete since 2013

is there mention of implementation of a mobile site. the current lodestone is cumbersome with a mobile browser.

Itd be fun if people could publish existing gearsets with stats listed on their profile. Other stuff can be made public, how about this?

I would ask that in addition to crafting recipes and other such useful information, the Development Team looks into providing players with the formulas and data that effects the combat system. We will inevitably spend weeks-months figuring this out anyway, and then creating programs to calculate it easier and determine how we can best gear each class. It would be nice if FFXIV would let us skip the weeks-months portion and let us go straight to building spreadsheets and such.

Specifically looking at weaponskill, auto-attack, enmity gained from abilities/actions/cures, cures, etc. Combat related math yay!

I have an android phone and I still would rather they have a site for mobile users just because when it's designed for mobile, it's quicker to load and easier to navigate.

Is this information not going to be in-game?

That will be nice to have the crafting website updated and more useful. I always found it weird (as much as I like the fan sites) the fan sites seemed to have better more reliable information that Lodestone the official site which I thought was weird. I always thought it weird that FFXIV's own website kinda sucked compared to fan sites.

we are supposed to have the new "recipe book" so we wont have to look online very often anymore. All of our recipes we now should be stored in game now. But if we've never made it then we'll probably have to look online. That's how I understand it anyway.

Meh, it won't be as good as the other fansites...there is no MMO Dev-based site that is actually worth using over fansites.

As for the mobile support, I wouldn't mind it, since I'd rather be full screen looking up info, rather than fiddle with windowed and what-not. But the actual time-frame of getting mobile support, much less ANDROID support dictates this will take a long time.

That and the fansites will still be better because they hold more information and cooperate a tad better with the mobile platform. Plus they have a better chance of coming out with a mobile site than SE does.

I have a XIV Android app. Has a recipe book, lets you see who's in your LSes, and allows you to see your friends list, has info on gathering, and news.

Not made by SE, and it's free, but it worked for me. Big thing was the recipe book. Got tired of alt tabbing out to the lodestone every 2 minutes.

I always used the main Lineage II site for quest/gear/etc info over any fan site..it was very nice and easy to find anything I wanted =) In fact almost any game I have ever played except FFXI I used the dev website for. RO, ESO, Tera, Aion. All of those dev sites had all the info I needed about quests and game stuff =)

Haha with FFXI had to print stuff out or search online sites...

Just do a quick "final fantasy xiv" search on the google play store will net you lots of stuff. Clocks, leves, buncha other stuff. I use "CK FFXIV Companion". Dunno if it's gonna be out of date with ARR or if they will update it.

If they can do same or better than Mozk, then I may use it...

This is because fan site owners see what the official sites do and improve on them. Personally I think a phone app that updates alongside the game would be nice. SE can release an official one.
