Because everyone who ever posts on these forums are native English speakers with perfect fluency.

yeah the markings look nice.
-
Bringing this back to the OP.. Maybe that symbol on the beak is the mark we get for surviving the end?

I'm one of those who understands that not everyone is fluent with English, or it isn't their first language. Hell even my English isn't amazing. One thing that does however always drive me nuts is when people do... after... every... single... sentence... Then I become a Nazi!

I don't speak English in my head but only can read since I speak only American Sign Language in real life. If you don't accept my grammar and be a nazi against me then that would be your own problem. =/
I still do need some help with my English and I only want to make sure you understand clearly on what I am saying though.

i've actually never understood why a portion ESL speakers do that when typing. It's like they're taught to be timid and unsure of themselves, but only when writing engilsh.

Oh no lol. I would never call anyone out on it because I make my fair share of mistakes as well. It's one of those things in the back of your head where you say "Grr" and move on. :P

They couldn't wait to jump on the defense bandwagon! :P
Sense of humor. We all needs it. lol

That's what i thought too, but it seems unlikely. Maybe a variant of it?
Anyway, I love the design, it's like what an experienced adventurer would use for barding. I do hope that the real models will have the armor with the original iron look, it just looks cooler. B'-)

I don't think so. I believe the chocobo is separate from the marking. Also, I think it will be optional in the character creation after launch. In the alpha video there is a whole section dedicated to markings.

It does make them standout a bit, which is always nice., but that also begs the question what will your "Buddy" chocobo have to distinguish them between the regular ones appearance wise, aside barding and abilities.

What shocks me is the fact my English is sometimes better than native speakers. xD

Jumping on defense/offense bandwagons is what this community is all about though, just look at what happens when certain people post or bring up SE's other FF MMO.

it's only optional in the game menu you can turn it off or on but you have it matter what. Which make sense just in case years later you go damn i wish i had the mark now ;;

I only become a Nazi with very long run-on sentence where I have to figure out the punctuation to make sense of it.
-
Interestingly enough, I began doing the ... after sentences in 2004 when my gaia user name was locked due to my young inability to retrieve my own password and I made the same username with ... in front of it.
It became an online trait of mine to help me better express emotion when speaking in text only *shrugs*
Anyway ^_^!
The big question on my mind is... Will we be able to breed our Legacy Chocobos~!? *squeals joyfully*
-
Think anyone can notice a legacy chocobo in a few months once we get all those chocobo armors and breeding? I'm wondering if in the end the only unique aspect of the chocobo is the tattoo lol (I imagine in breeding you can get different color tips, and the armor isn't wild enough that I'd easily recognize it unless up close)
Not that I'm bitching. I'm semi-glad. Less reason for people to rage at Legacy players, or Legacy players to e-peen smack non-Legacy players.

Perpetually depressed or contemplating people :D
Hey...
Are you sad? (Funny story I edited this from "Are you said?" :D)
No...
Emo.
XD
Its important to try and maintain a proper grammar. Its also expected to screw up, specially if you are not native, but you should either understand you aren't speaking or writing properly and be happy not being proficient with it even at the stage of mockery, or get better and accept the criticism (criticism should be constructive of course, being rude even if you are right doesn't make you any less rude).
I know everyone knows what a grammar nazi is, but I thought Urban Dictionary's definition was fun:
A captious individual who cannot resist the urge to correct a spelling and/or grammar mistake even in informal settings. After pointing out the linguistic shortcomings in others, a Grammar Nazi feels a strange sense of twisted and unconstructive intelligentsia delight.
In reality, they are making someone else feel bad for no reason and unintentionally implying that their "superior" grammar skills are all they have to show for a wasted liberal arts education.
While proper grammar usage is all well and good, a Grammar Nazi cavils even insignificant errors in English to somehow win an argument. Of course, rather than being genuinely persuasive in an argument, pointing out English errors is a weak attack only on the typist's credibility and never has any bearing on the underlying premises and assertions therein.
In other words, this is simply a disguised ad hominem argument which intelligent and logical people disregard.
Still, one should strive to spell and use words properly, but arrogant and unsolicited advice is not a very persuasive way to teach English.
Just because we are on the subject of being a nazi.. you cant speak ASL, it has no sounds XD...
-
OMG CAPS MAKE MY TOPIC MORE IMPORTANT.

Kinda funny because when I read someone's lips and I can't tell if it is either "f*** you" or "vacuum." xD
Yes, English is a hard language to learn because most of Americans love to make many jokes with it so I have to use my dictionary and urban dictionary like everyday. :(

The Bard's boobs seemed more special to me :D
