"Apply and Proceed to Survey"
Being a Legacy member, I don't need to apply. But! What is that survey about?
I did it as i am applying for both PC and PS3, the survey asks about PC specs, owned gaming platforms, intent for applying for beta etc.
"Players who met the Legacy campaign requirements can participate in the beta test starting from phase 1 and are not required to apply." Yeah BUDDY!!! See ya'll in Beta!!! Don't even need to apply thanks SE!!! Way to show us ya care!!! I knew I was smart by keeping all 3 of my legacy accounts going!!!
I'm sure it's the usual round of questions they normally ask so they have a better understanding of the range of systems and types of players that are playing their game. Honestly, with the current producer and dev team, I think the surveys may actually be worth something to them.
Don't apply for the PC version if you have legacy! Please give others a chance!
Just because it says you can doesn't mean you will. Pointing that out in case some legacy accounts dont get an invite on day one.
But people will make complaint threads anyway. :p

If you applied for Alpha, you cant even apply again? so what does it matter. it's not like legacy people didn't apply for alpha.
Legacy people will get in, then they're out of the *lottery* so it wouldn't matter if they could apply a million times.
If you got accepted into the alpha you don't need to apply again... if you didn't get into the alpha, you didn't apply for the 1.0 ps3 beta, aren't legacy, or don't have an active ff14 service account (you wouldn't be here) you'll need to apply to play the beta...
Yea, what Kirito said. All it means is that they have your application in line with the rest already. It's just to try and prevent duplicates. I believe during 1.0 there was a warning or something that multiple entries would be disqualified for testing or something. that was too long ago though, i cant remember correctly.
Yea, but they'll have a shit storm otherwise. I'm not saying one way or another, but we should all be in before the end of phase 1. And being that Legacy members don't have to apply, even if they weren't in the alpha, pretty much tells me they will make it in day one. That's just a little reasonable deduction though, nothing solid of course.
Having everyone who is Legacy, download the client and log on day one will be a valuable test.
Thank you SE for giving all Legacy members the option of participating in the first phase of beta, it means alot!!
Legacy still has to apply for beta on PS3.
True, most Legacy members probably aren't too concerned though. Just my assumption though. My PC barely wanted to run the game on default settings with a benchmark score that says I should be able to run the game extremely well on default settings and probably even at higher resolutions.
That being said, a lot of people probably have machines that are overkill for ARR. The alpha test ran at 60fps (capped it at 60) with no stutter, max settings, and AO and all that jazz on for me. So personally, I'm not interested in the PS3 version as long as I get my Gamepad controls as promised, eventually.
I'm not so concerned about it but it kind of gets annoying to have to enable my ps3 controller to work as a gamepad with a program each time I want to play ffxi or ffxiv so ps3 version would be better... If they tie the trophies from the game to our psn account I can also see more players playing it...
ooo I hope we can use a controller this time @.@
Just read the roadmap again and yes you are probably right that I don't have to do anything...
Glad I left SQUARE ENIX MEMBERS because so much teenage drama social queens. :PQuote:
Players in possession of a SQUARE ENIX MEMBERS code
that came bundled with FINAL FANTASY XIII will be given
priority for the PlayStation®3 Beta Test.
Edited: I just used the code again and it was accepted. So yeah you have to do it again if you wanna test on the PS3.
