It seems to me that the way I understand limit breaks, that SE does not need any suggestions on this, as they likely have all they need decided and created already.

But that said... OP, your Chrono Trigger example was amazing. Less for limit breaks, which will probably be generic (though compositional) bonus damage drops, as compared to group attacks (almost like an improved Battle Regimen system). But yeah, I'd be all for using semi-queued abilities within different smaller formations for triple-tech-ish attacks. Just doesn't seem likely to happen.
2 DRG + BLM for a flaming dual (crossing more closely each time) charge.
LNC, PLD, CNJ for an elemental shield ability to be carried by a charging Lancer in order to safely tackle back enemies.
As long as we don't get overly locked, so that the tactile advantage of such as system falls back to there only being a few decent choices, with little fluidity in selection at any time, I see no downsides.
I'd be okay with Limit Breaks initiating certain cinematic sequences for the party to view if the requirements for Limit Break were achieved! :D
I'd like FF games to bring back the exaggerated killing blows and what not of FF games of y'ore!
i want to see more Limit Break idea instead of singular drop like meteor, like @shurrikhan's post is a fresh thing to do, a combination of jobs/class to unleash combo like our late Battle Regimen. :D

I think you are all having waaay too high expectations for limit break.
Im not sure even the 2 person breaks will be that awesome, let along you talking about 3 people or more
It would be nice to see anything in an MMO where an choreographed attack could be done with 2 or more characters!
It would require 1 of 2 things.
1. Wretching control away from the player for a cinematic move to commence and be enjoyed. (as long as it did wondrous damage and provided multiple camera angles to enjoy the scene)
2. Make a mini game of sorts that the players must synchronize to to preform special attack. (To me this was kinda like Weapon Skill chains and magic bursts!)
Yeah these would be pretty exotic for Limit Breaks, but come on! They called them

Something like Cid's 'Highwind' Limit Break in FFVII or Setzer's 'H-Bomb' Slots attack in FFVI (which is similar) - nothing like calling an airship in to bomb the the enemy from the air ;) (I mean, there's even precedent in 1.0 - Gaius does exactly the same thing in the Futures' Perfect quest, when it looked like the Circle were finally starting to make him sweat, calling down an Imperial airship hovering overhead to blast them and end the battle).
Too bad it would be hard to implement for players from a story perspective, unless Cid has some hidden weaponry hidden on the Enterprise I guess. :p

Maybe a special Limit Break that requires everyone to be in the same Free Company/LS. The party leader calls in support from their FC/LS airship. Maybe do a quest that equips your ship with like bunker busters so you can use the airship under ground. mmmm
BTW, do we know ANYTHING about how to do them, like, does each member have a gauge that fills up? When it's full, you can do a limit break. If it's like Battle Regimens, seems like it would be really easy to spam Limits non-stop lol.
I think i remember reading that every one in the party shares the same gauge, and you make a group decision on who should execute the LB.(in other words any one could be a dick and spam there button so there LB goes off, but in a strat fight you would strategize who uses there's and when) I also remember talk from yoshi p about having multiple tiers of LB for each class/job. but i think he said it in the same way that he talked about DRK being off of gladiator, was just an idea he was throwing around(not in concrete. if that makes sense lol

I dunno how SE is gonna impliment them, but I would sorta like a limit break where more that one person does something. The Meteor limit break only has the BLM doing it, but how about if 2 or 3 party members team up to do like a multiple phase limit break?
Example: PLD hits the enemy multiple times then lauches bad guy into the air. Scene shifts to BRD who shoots a bazillion arrows into said bad guy while he/she/it is still in the air.

Ditto, just as long as we don't forget the lessons of the past FF's and allow player's an option to skip the cinematic sequence. Knights of the round was cool the first 120th time. But eventually, you just want to get on with the fight (Okay, so I exaggerate, I started wanted to skip the sequence after watching it for only 40+ times.) . :p
But regarding the original point. I've always wished that they gave drg's Luminous Lance that Selh'teus uses in COP in ffxi. A giant lance of light that makes a thud as it pierces and sticks out of the enemy's chest, and that slow, lifeless drift for a bit as it was stunned. For archer/bard, I always envisioned that they'd somehow call upon artemis to shoot down a giant arrow of light that hits the entire enemy party.
