Of course that trailer, that we saw about combat and questing, was just a small video clip of -some- of the stereotypes of questing. we dont know yet what kind of quests they also have planned.
What kind of quests would you like to see in ARR, do you have some real good suggestions?
i myself would like to see some sort of quests which you can only accept if you have an own chocobo to ride on.
As for Fighter Classes
chocobo quests:
- you have to escort a "postman" on a chocobo. from time to time some garleans are appearing to stop that delivery. when you are too slow (for example just walking by foot, or riding too slow) the postman probably gets killed very fast.
- chocbo races: same as for the escort quest, but the difference is that it is without any enemies, its just a race (and maybe with more npc participants)
- digging for some goods within a specific time, each good gives you a different amount of gil and exp bonus.
- regular escort quests by foot. from A to B
- rescueing someone out of a dungeon
- Collecting items which are protected by small bosses
as for Crafting classes:
- reparing stuff:
some examples:
- repair the weapon of 6 different player characters
- repair the jewlery of 6 different player characters
- repair a bridge at XY
- repair the door of a house at XY
- repair the armor of an npc hero who needs to get repaired his shield you can find him at XY
.... or what the heck ever
any further ideas or suggestions?

I would like some crazy random happenstance quests. Quests that stumble upon you while traveling. That sort of thing. I think that would increase the likelihood of people walking from point A to point B.

i would love to see nation missions and unlockable areas by completing stories and real time events where you need to complete some quest like defending a village, rescuing npc's, assaults to enemy forts with complex and random objectives to complete, i mean random, because after some time this things are well known and become boring, because of repeating the same strat over and over again, i like random stuff like garuda fight, you know what it does but is not always the same.
Hamlet defense was ok, but too repetitive, wouldnt you love not having control over the times and spots that NM's appear? and i really hope they dont add weapons in the battlefield like other games like cannons and stuff, that lowers the fun imo, let us kill the mobs with our own hands.... -

I want a "dance with emotes" quest. A NPC say which emote we should do and we need to do it in a specific time for perfect score. If we need too long or do it too early we get a bad score.

I'd like a murder mystery quest. It would be instanced and you have a set amount of time to interact with NPCs on the spot and examine text clues and whatnot.
