There is another half to that cg movie. ARR pre-release. Odin does appear.. not sure which part in time though.

yeah, i know. just wanted to point that out as it will cement the odin theory :)
odin theory?
Did you guys get odin in FF11, by far one of the most useless summons. If they do bring him back again make him more useful.
I'm sorry to say, but I'm pretty sure that sound was just wind...
I think it was a victory roar from King bahamut. Kind of like a dragons way of having an evil laugh of conquest.
The horse-noise theory has been around for several weeks. It has been confirmed that SOMETHING happened.
I'm sure that noise was just Bahamut going "What the heck???!!!"
It was Louisoix's stomach reacting to the curry bun he ate before the fight =P
actually he wasent useless because he was very useble in abyssea. 2 hour recharge items. can kill over 10 mobs at a time.(not useless at all and now there's 2 ability items.:)
about Odin. I think Hildibrand is connected to odin in some way or he will be odin somehow. I not sure but
cant wait for more information of what happen to hildibrand:)
I thought it was just Bahamut roaring or something.
I don't know what sort of horses you've heard before but they definitely do not sound like dragon farts.
Lol Nightmare + Odin sure was fun in group PVP anyways.
If Odin was worth something in FFXI (which he's not) wouldn't people use him more? The only extra avatar worth using is Alexander, and that's for PD, and it's also because Alexander is the key to many broken and annoying zerging strategies.
Odin IS a useless summon in FFXI. End of story.
This is said about a lot more than just avatars. Odin's skill much like in every other FF game he exists is to instant kill enemies which almost never worked on bosses.
If it worked on bosses, you can guarantee people will use it a lot more because who wouldn't like to auto kill bosses? I also remember when SMN in general was shunned because most sucked at it. Using this logic though, Alexander is also worthless because it's a 2hr based one because people cleared everything before it ever existed as an avatar.
I tried listening multiple times, to me it just doesn't sound like a horse as much as I'd like it to be.
It's nothing more than the way the sound designers chose to depict how a massive fireball (megaflare) would sound. It's a big ball of fire consuming oxygen, causing massive suction and winds. Also, this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnRe2JaUX7U

meh, sounded like a horse for a split second to me :P
You have to really want for it to sound like a horse for it to sound that way lol
Yes its been confirmed SOMETHING happens, but that something has yet to be revealed ;)
so wait there is second part to this video? any word on it's release?
If you have ever heard a horse whiny, it most definitely sounds like a horse whinnying. There is also a second sound that sounds suspiciously similar to Behemoth (this also works with the 2.0 poster).
I think it really sounds like a horse. Maybe is the wind, maybe is soemthing else, but at least, it can be Odin's Horse. Or that is what I think. : /
I used to keep horses and that deeefinitely doesn't sound like a whinny. It's more human than it is animal, but sounds closer to something spiritual instead of physical (like a ghastly screech).
I myself hear three out-of-odd sounds - firstly, the horse whinny, second, a high shrill (could be wind, but no wind could ever sound like the shrill voice I keep hearing), and lastly, growls which do not at all sound like Bahamut's growls. Personal theory is that those were the sounds of Odin, Shiva and Fenrir respectively, with the hypothesis that those primals who have yet to be defeated and banished also joined in the scene. Ramuh's beard and Leviathan's fins can't exactly produce, sounds can they.
It would be interesting if there was a feud between Odin and Bahamut, though going ala IX it was Bahamut and Alexander, who's to say they cant change that around.
Odin's known as an Elder Primal, I'd say Bahamut is considered the same thing.
Perhaps Bahamut's release and tantrum brought Odin back into the world as well, what we dont see is what happens after Lou pushes us forward and what he's really smiling at is Odin charging in and disrupting the Megaflare from completely obliterating everything. It would help explain why, if, the 3 nation leaders and Cid are alive in ARR. Odin charges in, they fight, Bahamut leaves and Odin goes wandering.
To further that thought, perhaps it'll be our purpose to track Odin back down and enlist his knowledge in a way to actually take Bahamut down. No reason the Primals cant be against each other.
Good God, this people
Try listen the clip using a nice earphone/headset, put it full volume, close your eyes
It clearly the sounds of explosion from megaflare clashing your protect, and Bahamut roaring in the distance
where is Urianger in the trailer?
I think he will show up in part 2 next to a weak Louisoix (who obviously failed in whatever he tried to do).
I recon he will summon a fully aether feasted Atomos (maybe this was its purpose at the aetherite camps) and out of Atomos rides Odin (we all know Atomos is a doorway to the void).
Kinda like how in wings of the goddess you have the heroes exiting the maw to save the world.
Fight primal with primal.
Odin then gives chase to Bahamut. That is the only way i can think of stopping Bahamut from wrecking the world and also introduces the concept of Summoner. Why else would Odin be in part 2? They are both described as elder primals.
I recon i might be right, being a huge Silmarillion fan i wasnt suprised with the bahamut/dalamud revelation, i knew something was inside.
Just sounds like the wind to me. The air rushing through at high speeds cuz of the explosion.
My theory:
I think Odin is the avatar/primal of death and he is basically coming for Lousioux in the final seconds of the movie. He's not going to save him, but rather to see him through to the other side sort of like the grim reaper.
IIRC, i read a post from a dev explaining the whole story behind dalamud, and that Bahamut will be tarped in Crystal Tower highest floor. If that is true or not, idk, but try searching for the explanation of the story (they mention alot of stuff they been leaving behind during the last months before the 'end of an era' release and they expected us to know something was inside Dalamud and that it was actually a cage. Altho i also recall reading that Odin will be the intervenient in this action of the world destruction. But now that people mention about the other 4 Avatars (Shiva, Titan, Fenrir and Odin) it whould make sense to help preventing the world major destruction with that megaflare, also Atomos could suck all that power in and nullify the Megaflare. I'm not sure about this last theory lol, but sounds cool~ish.
