Good find! :)
The two elder primals look very very similar... XD I wonder if we will be finding any holy primals (or are our gods primals? :O?) - I know bahamut is historically non-elemental but he is always dark theme'd..
Also is it just for style or is Odin coming from some sort of gate?
Anyway, thanks for the scan :D
I'm wondering if this poster is a hint as to what ended up happening at the end of 1.0. It seems like each primal is paired with its opposite. And Odin is paired with Bahamut. Maybe he had something to do with stopping him? It seems like he's involved somehow regardless.
Well, in either case, its a nice depiction of the elemental wheel.
I clicked this thread with thoughts of Garuda- and Ifrit-themed fishing rods.
I'm disappointed ;_;.
What if the giant sword like things that shot out of Dalamud are somehow related to Odins sword Zantetsu?
I still can't get over how closely Merlwyb and Shiva look.
Maybe the intro of ARR will have a battle of all 6 primals VS. Bahamut and Odin finishes Bahamut up tossing him into the labyrinth! :D
Certainly possible I think. The main original story suggest it's possible to get the beastmen to help out with stopping the empire, although the attempt to recruit them fails. Though the beastmen don't care for us, they don't want their homeland blown up any more then we do. And Garuda's final statement before death in the GC storyline showed that they see Bahamut as their enemy.
picture just brought up an interesting idea as to what happened at the end. Maybe Louisoix himself became one with Odin, as Bahamut was about to strike him down odin came to his aid to fend off Bahamut. As they fought on Louisoix used the items he had obtained from Ifrit/Garuda fight to call upon their aid.
It's possible the Primals themselves are in connection with one another so Ifrit/Garuda used their influence to convince the other primals to come to their aid against Bahamut. The scene in the poster coulod depict what occured once the adventurer's were sent off. Without them the only ones capable of fighting off Bahamut were the primals themselves. If anything as the adventurer's were sent off into the space of time the beastmen arrived to aid in the potential destruction of their homeland Eorzea.
But I am thinking that there is definitely a reason why Louisoix was looking to obtaining those Garuda/Ifrit pops to fend off against Bahamut in the end. It will definitely be interesting to see the opening cinematic to 2.0 when it finally goes live, am sure the battle portrayed once we left will definitely leave us at the edge of our seat.
Thank youuuuu, I love this picture so much <3
You deleted moogle D:
shiva looks like she has a countess cape o.O you know one of those long ass royal cloaks
It looks like Odin is riding out of Atomos' mouth
Odin maybe cut the space with his attack "zantetsuken" to come in our world
My post from a different thread involving this very topic.
In Eorzean magic, there are no opposites. They aren't really listed as opposite elements in the real world's view of the elements, either. Fire:water, earth:wind, light:dark are the more common opposite elements. They aren't even listed as one side beats the other (unless they change the wheel in 2.0) because of the stupid double triangle elemental wheel we have. If anything, they are set-up in their triangle formation. Top three grouped together (Ifrit, Shiva, Garuda) and bottom three grouped together (Odin, Ramuh, Leviathan.)
I don't think the arrangement means anything beyond "These are the primals, look forward to them in 2.0"
Hmm... it actually does... (look to the right of Ramuh, you can even see Atomos' right most horn in the fog). If it's not Atomos, there's at least something behind Odin?? I can see Atomos playing a much bigger part than what we've initially thought, and that it could connect with Odin, Bahamut, Louisoix and the other primals.

I think the 6 elemental primals being paired with its traditional opposites has more to do with simple design/composition, rather than giving a hint about the story. But IMO Odin and Bahamut being prominently featured does give a hint.
One other thing that just struck me that I haven't really seen mentioned: The huge beam of white light from Odin's sword. It may be that light beam that stopped Bahamut and that's why Louisoix fades to white... When you look at the white beam from Odin's sword/Louisoix fading to white, Odin's prominent placement in the poster, Odin's appearance in the ARR trailers (and assumed appearance in the opening to ARR), and the (possible) horse sound at the end of End of an Era, I think they all point to pretty good evidence that Odin is a big part as to why Bahamut didn't destroy everything. *Please note though that I'm not saying Louisoix turns into Odin because there's no evidence for that and frankly the idea seems a lil silly to me.*
btw here's the original pic for reference (taken from another thread)
since when is "elder primals" a thing?
anyway, this is the same poster as the one in the last letter of the producer live
i cant see atomos, sorry ;XD
hmm what type of element is MoogleKing? Or siren?
isnt moogle king holy element type?
http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__...nto_Moogle.jpg
speaking of moogle, why hasnt anyone spat out anything about the moogle being to the side (right) of odin? its just a wittle guy but there nonetheless.
First reference to "Elder Primal" was given to the early-release concept of Odin, in the 2.0 timeline documentation.
They again used Bahamut as an Elder Primal reference in the latest LFP.
I see where people are getting it, the white smoke at the bottom being the top inside of Atomos' giant maw, with the square shape of its head being the shadows behind Ramuh and Leviathan.

No reference as to whether the good king is a regular or elder primal (id wager he IS elder), but his supermove is "Astral Flow".
hm where your arrow is pointing just shows the collar of ramuhs dress.. thats not a horn..
http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__...FXIV_Ramuh.png
too much fantasy if you ask me ^^ but maybe atomos is going to play a role.. i mean.. why he has been there right before the "cataclysm" gathering energy from aetherites?
Here is what I meant (it's a bit different than the purple one by Duuude007, I think the white on the bottom is just smoke). I've put an arrow at the right horn that appears to be in the fog, however it might be a result of the OPs photoshopping - it's much harder to see in the original. There is writing on top of where the left horn would be to the bottom left of leviathan (I drew that dotted horn a bit big now that I look at it). The middle horns/crown would all be behind the other primals.

original images to compare
But if that right horn is from the OP's photoshopping and not in the original, then I would say it's not Atomos. It's only a "what if" based off an unclear photoshopped image, so I'm just acknowledging it's possible. I do believe Atomos will play a bigger part in ARR though, even if it's not in this poster.
I wanna draw lines!!
(white dots are just lazy right clicks with teh eraser :P)
Really looks like the six opposite primals are working to pull open some sort of rift that is pulling in Bahamut while Odin is at the lead of the event.
Whatever it is I think it has a lot to do with Bahamut being imprisoned - and due to the "gravity" / sucking perspective I think Atomos is a good argument. Too bad we can't see behind Odin - might help XD..
can we have the original artwork in HD to download ? Dev Please :P ?
I think there are still 4 Primals missing. The twelve are our Primals on the Astral side. The beastmen Primals are on the Umbral side. The others 4 are probably Carby, Siren, King Moogle and who? What do you all think?
I know it's garuda but I can't help but see a big chocobo lol
Yoshi-P said in one of the live letters that the post (not a direct quote) didn't have any special significance to the story line. If I remember correctly, he just said all the Primals are depicted so people would immediately recognize it as a Final Fantasy poster. =]
