I'm looking forward to seeing all the new places and looks of the old in ARR

The concept art is really great. I can't wait to see it in-game. Really does look spectacular.

These images look great and I can't wait to explore all these awesome new places.

However, I think it's important to remember that this is concept art. The thing about concepts is that they don't all make it to the final product. I look at them as more like possible ideas for ARR and it's future expansions.

Nonetheless I am incredibly excited to discover all of this on Day 1!

Anyone happen to have translations lying around? I'm have trouble reading the.. all of it :P

Concept art looks amazing though :D

The artwork is nice and all, but I've learned not to get my hopes up too high based on artwork alone. There is a huge difference between a vision (artwork) and incorporating your vision into a project (what we experience in-game). Hopefully all goes according to plan.

They said that these entries to new plateaus would be VERY obvious means to warn of high level danger ahead. Im loving it.

Nice catch, very obvious now. Definitely like the change with the skeleton. Much more appealing and "exaggerated" in the second picture. Stands out much better. I don't think I even noticed it in the first one. But it was probably planned to end up like the second picture all along and that first one was just a placeholder....hence the words and arrow pointing to it.

Hmmm you might be right on that Duuude but it would be better if they are 2 separated places 1 seems Lanoscea style and the other more Mhor Dona like

Yeah those are nice and as Yoshi-P said game at launch and until next big expansion there will be a total of 40 zones and all the art i posted are only bits of the entire map yet are already about 30 places so each zone will be saturated with so much to look at each part of it unique in design which makes me even more excited about exploring :D

Exploration consists of finding the teleport crystal so you never half to take in the nature afterwards. and god forbid we actually walk to the dungeon we're going to crawl for the next 8 years.

oh i've no doubt and i'll be right up there with them.

my concern is more along the line of distant future expansions once people have explored everything and get lazy and start teleporting everywhere. you think the development team wont try and pull a few fast ones on us explorer's, the detail of the world is important only if you cant warp from point A to B by the powers that be.

OMG! Ramuh looks so dope! The enormous beard and staff are perfect!(The staff kind of looks like the really cool staff Seymour wielded from FFX)

Teleporting only takes you so far. Even in 1.0 you still had to walk or ride through the areas to get places. It would be really nice if people could just stop the hyperbole about teleporting/exploration, even if for one f'in day.

They already commented that this is not Garuda, but Siren. Due to their similarities I am convinced that this is aspected wind... but I still wonder whether this could be a representative of someone like Llymlaen, rather than Garuda...

Oh thanks! Lol you know your stuff! I was also thinking that it can't be by the way the did the artwork for that one, since the Primals artwork is only just one of them with a white background, but ya I thought it might be like the summoners wind avatar/pet but, meh..

Perhaps... but based on the summoner concept, the avatars look like ghostly versions of the original primals- this is very corporeal, and differs a fair amount from Garuda, so it's tough to conclude that.

Edit: The more I think about it, Siren may be a queen of the Ixali. It would make sense that the highest ranked members of a beast clan would closely emulate the deities they worship.

True! Summoner is my favorite job/class so I hope its really cool/fun/important and lives up to the hype they're giving it ^^

Holy hannah, I can't believe I didnt notice this until now... but that looks like a land bridge connecting upper La Noscea to Thanalan... or at least a great deal of water in the Strait of Merithor has turned into shallows.

And its Central Coerthas. You can see Natalan, Camp Dragonhead and Ishgard clearly.

Ahh i see :D with all that art that has been posted and looking at these maps you can put together the puzzle how its gonna be lol and looking at the Black Shroud alpha videos i can tell they sticking to those maps so the two places you compared earlier are not the same as the first one is on the Upper La Noscea map and the other with bigger skeleton is nowhere to be seen unless they fully changed that part...
