What new weapons types would you like to see in ARR?

All the talk of classes and jobs has me thinking of weapon types i would like to see in ARR regardless of class/job. Here are a few i ould like to see.

1. two-handed sword
2. war hammer
3. whips
4. fans
5. crossbow

There could also be Kusarigama's which are kind of like whips. It's a chain with a sickle on one end and a small weight on the other. So you can stab people or hit them with the weighted end.

I would say whips being the basic weapon, rope darts/meteor hammers being upgraded variants.

That concealed gun Gaius has on his arm is pretty sweet.

also if they make Great Katana it should be worn on the back Odachi style

RIFLES! The rifles they had on display in Limsa Lominsa at the NPC shop near blacksmith! Not some rinky dink two barreled pea shooter, ACTUAL Musket Rifles!

If Archers can run out into battle wielding a bow that's half their size or bigger than them, Musketeers should be able to run out with a full sized Rifle!
SE Stop teasing us with weapons displayed behind NPC shops that look cool if we cant ever use them! ><

shields that have monsters and animals attacking from them would be cool like in this video from merlin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asHUl0kLdU8. could be a black mage meets shield user.

I still say something that has to do with offensive shield wielding needs to happen.

I like the original Arcanist weopons. The mech staff?

The in game ones were basic but I picture the relic making steam and having moving gears or something.

Gunblade, We're able to capture their Magitech gear and even nick one for a mount, why not steal their stupidly good weapons.

I just wanna have more weapons that have poison, paralyze, or DOT effects. Even though no arrows in 2.0 but switch to different bow can still have those side effects.

XM25 for Lalafell hiding beind rocks in PvP.
