Hildibrand, did I read that right?

Sorry if this was brought up before.

When Yoshi was talking about Hildibrand in the live letter, the translation read "I wonder if he made a cameo in the final cs."

Was he talking the end of an era? If so where is this cameo? cause I'm missing it. I kind of took that statement like a hint to look for him

Hm. Perhaps? I took it as just an off the cuff, whimsical comment by Yoshi P based on how popular and silly Hildebrand is.

The translation said "cameo" but Yoshi P actually said "fell" -- as in 'fell back to Eorzea', considering what happened the last time we saw him.

Hildi is Nael who came back for his spear and then blasted off back onto Dalamud where he ensured Bahamut would awake - now he rides Bahamut with that stupid look on his face >.>

For the record ppl keep saying Darnus is an Elezen when he clearly does the same "i hug myself" emote Hildebrand does

Hildibrand is Nael's dark secret from the past. An unfortunate product of his younger and more regrettable days, a bottle of Grindanian ale and a roegadyn tavern wench named Lola. Summoning meteor was Van Darnus's attempt to erase his everlasting shame. XD

Good to know before I spend hours going frame by frame to try to find this cameo appearance lol

「彼があのムービーの中でどこかで落ちて来てるんだろうかと。」

This is how I'd interpret what Yoshi P said.
"I wonder if he came falling back down somewhere during that movie."

I don't really think Yoshi P was suggesting that Hildibrand made a cameo.
Rather, just saying that Hildibrand would be back, so maybe he fell back to Eorzea when Dalamud blew up? ^^;

God, the movie would've been 10x more awesome if he made an appearance.

But I bet you anything that whether the devs wanted to or not, Hildibrand's finale was crafted way way after the End of an Era trailer was being finalized. A 5 minute CGI movie of that quality takes a long time to make, and if you recall, we were already seeing parts of it before Hildibrand's final patch.

I hope we get a good cs that depicts what happened up on dalamud and how he made it back. lol

I thought this too!

I was wondering where he was during the CGI. Then after i figured he would be in the safest place on the battle field. Bahamut's back! Which would explain why Bahamut's sealing went amiss.

It goes to show you that not even the 12 can contain such a magnificent physique and charming smile such as Hildibrand's.

Hildebrand is now Odin, why else would he be given a sword and shield in his final cutscene :3

Guys... go play FFX, and you'll understand what was Hildibrand's true fate ;)

No matter how hard we all may try we will never be as fabulous as Hildibrand...
