oh please! move the target type toggle to PageUp/PagDown or at least allow me to assign them to another keys, please!
I never want to complain but this game make me need to complain for everything

Simple solution: Let us freaking decide which command we want to bind to which key.
This is in no way a troll question, but can anyone please explain me the reason of "locking out" some keys? Like the arrows? I mean why can't we assign page up and page down to change target modes? Why can't we assign the arrow keys to move the camera or to move the character? Is there any reason to "lock out" certain keys for those commands? I really fail to see any kind of reason, just wondering if I am missing something.
I am used to play in a certain way. RPG or MMORPG I always use the same keyboard layout, which makes it easier for me to play. I use the same (or at least as much as possible) layout for Dragon Age, World of Warcraft, Final Fantay XI, but for some reason I can not adjust Final Fantasy XIV layout to my own wishes. No game released in the 21st century should be this limited. That it is going to be released on a console is no reason at all to gimp keyboard use.
I love Final Fantasy XIV. I defended Square Enix, the development team and Final Fantasy XIV against all the trolls on those forums, but this is one of the few small things that really annoy the *peep* out of me.
Please Square Enix, please, I beg you ... let us adjust every single binding. -

It's true, it needs to be fixed asap. It's kind of a basic feature in an MMO to be able to adjust your keys and it's incredibly barbaric what they have in place atm.

Agreed. Allow us full control over keyboard bindings. It is archaic, outdated, passe, last season. Call whatever you will, but for a game claiming to be "next generation" not allowing the rebinding of keys is silly. It is not that hard to allow re-binding and still force the arrow keys to work the menu options when a menu appears if you really want to, and it is not hard to include a "Reset Keyboard Configuration" option in the external config if you are worried people will unbind and break the game.

I like the enhancement of the battle effects. I hope the [visual] enhancement will also include vivid additional animations for particular battle effects. Example: BATTLE REGIMENS!!!!!!! Please make these combos (or some of the combos) visually distinctive--instead of just pink limbs, weapons, and monsters.

I agree allow us to change the keyboard layout to our linking i love to play on keyboard using 8462 for moving and then the arrow keys to change the Cam like FFXI.

And please, 10 more action bar slots, the amount of abilities available at level 50 is way more than 10, and macros aren't the same.
I rather be able to bind F1-F10 to extra action slots than the ridiculously limited use they have now. -

Totally agreeing with all posters. Not only is it the less intuitive possible, also not logical. Given also the targetting itself is messed up meaning you target first the mob that's almost in Uldah while you're facing the desired one in Horizon. While you cycle through it's already late so you have to use F8 or /targetnpc macro wishing you are facing correctly. For casters targetting modes are kind of useless too since you can't change subtargets, making the whole process of targetting as it stands now too complicated and again, not intuitive. Might aswell just aoe on yourself for everything, and getting killed on the process.

please make skill bar (action bar) always selected when a mob is targeted!!!, when I change the camera with mouse it becomes unselectable and up and down changes targeting mode -_-

Yeah, it works just fine if you use a gamepad. I used a gamepad exclusively to play FFXI, so I can deal with it, but it would be much better to use mouse & keyboard if it worked correctly.
