How on earth do you apply for alpha/beta?

I have already applied but I can not find the application again now. I wanted to suggest to some of my friends to apply. I'm sure it was on the ARR website.

Note the following: Only Application for Alpha is available at this time. Application for Alpha does not apply you for Beta application. Alpha-2 is done. Alpha-3 for California is schedueled to start Monday Nov 18. Alpha schedule is not rigid as SE has to prepare for each test. Alpha-4 is schedueled for the end of November or the first of December depending on what happens in the Alpha-3 test. Server response was not as good as hoped in Alpha-2 and some changes are being implemented. SE is currently on holiday, recovering from a hard schedule to close FFXIV-1. Beta test applications will be available in December or January.

Why California only? What about EU?

It is just the way they are testing the servers. Alpha-4 is the world server test.

I'd like to see a source too, there's been nothing about a 'california only' test anywhere, it goes right from Japan only to global.

There's been /no/ mention of a California only alpha anywhere which is where my confusion lies. California only seems kinda ridiculous anyway lol... but that's just me :x

The dates given are to the Japanese tests then the global alpha, there's no mention of a cali only test anywhere.

I Believe the test mentioning California is the test to test the servers based in Cali, not Cali only; NA test perhaps?. Make more sense this way. That's how I understood it.

True or not. I'd like to know where this information came from.

This is what I'm thinking, there's no way they'd make it so the only players of a test are residents of one state, that's just ridiculous.

It wouldn't make sense to make a Cali test only as like hardly none plays here i felt so lonely in FF11 and FF14 been a west coast timer 99% of N/A ppl i have met in those two games were east coast :(

For sure! I'm a west coaster too! (Right on the WA/ID border hehe) and there's just not that many people compared to say east coasters D: lol

The servers would be base in California but does not mean only CA would get to play that dumb seeing how they wont even be enough people to fill up the one world to test lol.. Also i think we be testing in JP servers not NA but who knows maybe that information is true or not but without a link to where the person read it i don't believe it.

I like how people point out how se is making a dumb decision. That's never happened before. At any rate I'm in Cali as well if it helps my chances then woot!

The servers would be in Cali don't mean only Cali would get to play that dumb + the person who said that information does not even want to give where she/he found it so it's all bullshit too i see it coming out from the dev or yoshi-p himself. Cali may have a lot of players but not enough to stress test the NA servers lol
