RvB =/= 8-Bit Theater

I have wanted to do this since FFXI came out and I started reading the 8-Bit Theater web comics. I love how Rooster Teeth has taken the in game characters and made such a fantastic series out of them and I want to bring 8-Bit theater to life in the same way.

I would need enough people on the same server who would be interested in taking time out of adventuring at least once a week so I can screen capture and direct them through each page of the comic. Depending on how things go will determine how far into the comic we make it. For reference I want to turn this 8-Bit theater Ep. 1 into something like this Red Vs Blue Ep. 1

It will be a long way off but I wanted to throw this idea out there to see what kind of support there might be in the FFXIV community to justify trying to take on a project like this.

I have a background in theater and acting as well as video editing skills but I welcome any other support in the Voice Acting and/or Directing portion of this.

If we end up on the same server, I wouldn't say no. French-English voice acting and using my Hyur as an eye-candy over -confident "douche" in Star-Spangled Subligar... yeah... that's a real lady's man!

If we are still on the same server which i think we will be for atleast a month when ARR comes out id totally be up for it.

i will more than likely be creating a new chr on one of the new servers, the only downside to this will be building up to the AF gear, I want them to be in their classic costumes like they are in the comic, ala FF1. i guess it all depends on how hardcore people are about getting to level 50. i know it takes ma a while...

I'm on Sargatanas and think this is great fun. If you need a Lalafel with all of the AFs unlocked, I'm your man!

I'd be willing to help. We're on the same server at the moment, and if we stay on the same server, I think it'd be fun to be in a comic.

Sounds like a fun idea. I'd make an alt just to jump in on something like this.

Why don't we make a new character on her server, except the guys who are on Sargatanas already, in the next period to see if we can get along? Why wait untill 2.0, be positive.

I'm thinking for the long term with this project it might be best to do this on one of the new servers or at least wait until ARR comes out to keep the graphics and outfits consistent. I do have a few other projects on the go right now so I don't know how much time I would have to dedicate to it until after February anyway but we can start discussion and decide which world we will join once the chr's have been cast. I'm updating my website to include this project and I will post a link here when I get it updated.

Oh and BTW I am a guy IRL, just to clarify any misconceptions.

I enjoyed 8 Bit Theater. Although it has been a while since I read their comics, they were usually pretty entertaining.

Although there are too many unknowns for me to give a firm answer about participation, it may be something that I will be interested in taking part in with a new character. If circumstances or conditions arise that prevent me from joining in, such as shooting is primarily done when I'm normally at work, asleep, etc., then I wish you the best of luck and look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Now back to 8 bit.

Come 2.0 I'd be more than willing to join in. I'm switching to Mithra for my main and would like to have some outlet for my current personality. What kind of character types are you looking for? Both RvB and Nuklear have similar character archtypes: dumb guy, frustrated guy, qualified moron, etc.

good questions, I have re-read some of the comics and i need to get a full cast list then get a feel for their character. i was thinking of fighter as a keanu reeves type guy. When i get the page on my website up and running i'll post it here. there will be better details there. Keep this page subbed!
