let's throw all the Lalafells we have at him and see what happens
>:c seriously so much lalafel hate up in this forum lately.
24xWHM cast double holy with Tyrus equipped
We're better tanks, we're better WHMs, we're better BLMs, we're short so our lances hit the good bits on most mobs which makes us better Dragoons, and we hit below the belt everytime, best Monks. We look the best in Darklight and AF. And when we Mine/Harvest we get +1 everytime. Delicious tears.
Should be bigger.
How to bring him down? Release samurai.
If i remember right Bahamut was massive in FFXI and the fight was a lot of fun (until ppl started to burn it -_-). Something just like that but not burnable would be great.
Also please do not make battles 5-10mins like in WoW. I so miss fighting a boss for 30mins to 1h (not talking about old school Kirin or Jailer of love 1-5hs).
Yeah Bahamut in XI was hard lol. Him summoning 4 dragons Kirin style just made it even harder.
I'm kinda hoping they don't make him fightable..at least not that way.
Surely a few of those purpose-trained dragoons could do the trick...
Just give me a couple of pistols and I'm ready to take him on.
US LAlafell mages will just stand back perty with our staves and let the big guys run up and get smacked around while we handle it fro ma distance.

Just a thought, what if, when we face Bahamut, any gear infused with Aether, is either ineffective or just heals him? Like primal weapons, melded gear, etc...?
If he is the God of the primals, why would Aether or it's power damage him?
It would be a good twist on SE part, but then they should give us new gear, in the form of new recipes (inventions by Cid) for crafters to create and such... or having to ASK for aid to the garleans to tackle him.
I'd love a gameplay driven plot twist like that.
How dare you bring a WoW video here.
Back on topic, I am an Azure Dragoon trained in the art of slaying dragons, this is no different, or we could hijack a Garlean airship and take him down similar to how Midgarsmor was taken down just make sure we get the airship with escape pods...
And how about a good ol' pandemonium warden style fight... 16hrs can I have it?
Someone needs to do a size scale of Bahamut iterations in FF games.
To my knowledge, this is the biggest dragon ever I've seen in a game or movie.
Megaflare?
Pshhh, this Bahamut could just stroll across the landscape and unintentionally destroy the world in the process.
Love that screen capture of Bahamut unleashing hell on Limsa Lominsa. I hope Bahamut is massive in game and that they come up with a fight worthy of his destructive power.
Aye, I hope he is massive like in the video and not scaled down when you actually fight him.
We are gonna have to do it like this, jump around and fight it in air!

Anyone wanna give me a hand?

How to bring him down? Give me some time and my ass kicking crew.. Skin that f'n lizard.
For Lou!!!!!!!
I remember pausing the movie in that moment and going "Wait, he's flying behind Limsa..!! He's f*$&ing huge!!!" I think we're around the size of his eye!
OP, I can't get the idea of "The Spine of Bahamut" out of my head. >.>
Phew! What a relief!
From the thread title I thought this topic might have been well beyond the Forum Guidelines.
I actually kinda think, for being encased in something large enough to be seen from space, he actually was really small. There were some Gurren Lagann scaling issues there for sure, but whatever.
Also we're definitely fighting him at some point, that's not even up for discussion. Probably not on our own; I imagine we're gonna have some kind of NPC aid for sure after how big he's been built up.
One of my predictions is that we will have to use atomos to drain aether from him and weaken him to defeat him and seal him again.
Also, about the size, we don't know how fast he was approaching and how far was it originally, keep in mind that Dalamud was crashing at a really slow pace.

I think we may be looking at the eventual FFXIV equivalent to FFXI's Airship fight...
Also: Genius plan to take down large creatures.
We'd have to know exactly how it is that Ishgard deals with dragons, first.
