Anyone else hope they add the trailer song to it? I've watched the video like 10 times and just listned another 20+ times.

The song is Answers, the theme song to the game.
I don't have that game but I'd like to get it sometime anyway.
It's the theme song? Where is it? I don't remember it in game.
Heeeeere you go!
You'd hear parts of it in the opening scene when you enter your chosen city-state.
I mean was it in the game? Othr then last night?
The very beginning of the story, when you create your character. The CGI will have a part of Answers playing before you hear the "Hear, Feel, Think" line. Also, near the end, when you almost reach your city of choice (or in the case of Ul'dah, when the goobbue hits the wall) you'll hear another segment of Answers.
Really? :/
It was in the beginning of the game after your character creation.
It's been on repeat in every world for the past two weeks or so...
And it's the song in the very first trailer.
EDIT: AND back then they announced that it was the theme song of the game.
EDIT AGAIN: ..After watching the trailer and seeing some of the text in it, it's really crazy how well they tied it into what just happened yesterday lol.
Little did we know, when we first saw this trailer..that yesterday would happen...
When I watched the end trailer from yesterday it hit hard because I didn't expect them to use this song..recalling it being used in the trailer I just posted. It instills two different feelings because of these two trailers. They did a good job.
Sorry, edited my above post. Yes, at least a part of it is toward the end of your opening scene when you create a character. You'll hear Calloway's "Walk free, walk free, walk free, believe, etc etc"
It's been played in pieces throughout the game. Most noteably its in the nation starter quests. It's a very faint "to all of my children in whom life flows abundant..". It's really low volume so you have to really listen for it.
Grid: Opening scene where you're wandering the forest. Again after E-Sumi and the Wailers begin to escort you back to Grid and you stand, feeling the Echo. You look up into the sky and hear "Walk freeeee"
Limsa: Opening scene when its panning around people on the ship, before settling on your character. (its very faint, have to listen for it). Again when Leviathan jumps over the ship and you're looking up at it.
Uldah: Opening scene when its panning around the streets of Uldah. Again when the Goobue crashes into the wall.
It's also been used in some of the trailers for 1.0, and most recently, the creepy music that played in the days before impact. And of course the End of an Era trailer.
The title is "Answers" and the singer is Susan Calloway ;) If you want to know more about her, her facebook page is:

It would be cool if they added any song from FFXIV to it, but in regard to Answers, if they did add it, it would probably only be like half the song kinda like what they did to FFXI's intro.
Yeah Answers is pretty long...about 7 minutes long.
It's a great song though :> I keep replaying the ending just for that song.
On the song in game and such, I didn't really pay a huge amount of attention to pre FFXIV other then to watch a few reviews, I sort of had it sneak up on me and the opening...well that was 3 years ago or so when it first came out heh.
Here's a video of her singing the song at a Distant Worlds show in Japan.

A little backstory: Susan gained recognition from the FF community when she recorded "Memoro de la Stono~ Distant Worlds" (FFXI's theme song) for the Distant Worlds CD release (believe in 2008). She was invited to tour with the Distant Worlds shows and sing live, which led her to record "Suteki da Ne" "Melodies of Life" for the second Distant Worlds CD release.
It's from the Distant Worlds concerts that Nobuo Uematsu met and noticed her. Later as he composed the song, he chose her to sing it. ;)
So what happened with Nobuo Uematsu and SE? Just done with FF games, or what? I havn't seen him do much for a bit with the games themselves, kinda miss him.
Uematsu hasn't worked for SE (as in a fulltime employee) for at least ten years. He runs his own studio now and does commission-based work for SE; like with XIV, he provided the initial scores, but new music (such as Raven and Garuda) are composed by in-house musicians like Soken and Naoshi Mizuta.
For me, discovering that XIV was not in theatrhythym was a terrible vote of no confidence against ARR. It's pretty sad.
A DLC track or two would be nice, especially since they've already done it for Versus XIII: An unreleased game.
So let's have:
FMS: Twilight Over Thanalan
BMS: Fallen Angel (Garuda)
EMS: Answers
Playable character: Louisoix
