Petition to save Louisoix

Oh man, SE, can you make sure those whom got saved can travel back into the past/future and save the world/Louisoix?

The word petition is becoming one of my least favorite words in existence after today.

I Wonder how many Flame Tapers of mine he has................ Actually I don't lol

His wouldn't be a meaningful sacrifice if we could just fanwank him back into existence.

Unless this was all one giant echo-jump for Louisoix in order to attempt to prevent his own future. In which case he's fine. :)

May he rest in virtual peace... he actually took thousands of tapers from me too to make me able fighting Ifrit >_>
Maybe we can find his corpse as an easter egg in 2.0 and use power of echo on him?

It's ok everyone, Louisoix is lvl 99 and downed a few hero drinks prior to the mega flare. It.... "Missed"

As much as I am sad by the outcome, I don't think they should bring him back. A powerful story needs to have some despair before you can come to the happier ending. We need the significance of his loss to make our survival have more meaning.

I absolutely want a statue of him in every city. Or a shrine in his honor, in a specific area.

Do not worry, he had Phoenix Summon materia equipped along with the Life materia. Both maxed out too!

A shrine in his honor... perhaps at Apkallu Falls :D? Maybe we get his neck tat in 2.0 as homage.

Maybe fill the shrine with all the god damn Ifrit and Garuda entry items he was carrying.

i am going to make my new character like and call him Louisiox Reborn :p

Maybe Bahamut captured Louisoix in the maze and we need to go to free him

Yep and his face was glowing from that incoming FLARE. That is why the screen was getting white, otherwise he would have had the semi white static from teleporting like "our" players did.

Even if you whine babies get your wish of keeping him or bringing him back he will die soon anyways. He is old. Old people are slow and drink lots of prune juice. Thanks old man louis louis, as I call him, rest in piece, and later bro.

And to the person who said the thing about the neck tattoos in a previous post, don't know if it makes sense with the lore or what, but if you recall yoshi saying that players who played 1.0, will have something that other players will know they were in 1.0. Maybe well end up with tattoos of our own deity?

I was thinking something along those lines. Like legacy people will have the option enabled and a neck tat will appear on your "recreated" character.

However, I'm sure Louisoix bit the dust. That look at the end was him accepting death and entrusting us with the future. Many anime have used that look when someone old/wise/meaningful makes a sacrifice.

Good luck trying to target his corpse. He, like, took a megaflare in the face.

Using the very last moments to save everyone else is what makes him the hero.

IT would be awesome if we, the players, using DoL/DoH could make he statue in his honor in ARR.

It's weird...we're getting a bigger boob option in A Realm Reborn...but we had access to all the chests we wanted with Louisoux around, whether they were full or not. Dude was a playa!

At the very least, there needs to be a dedication to him somewhere. A statue or something.

Far too important a character now to not be celebrated in the future.

This, I don't know if he does or does not die as you never actually do see him die. However, on the note of the mark, it seems like they made a point to have it be a focal point at the end of the scene when he is "potentially" being enveloped. If so, could this potentially be the scar we are left with in 2.0?

And it would be kinda awesome to meet the new Thaliak reincarnation in 2.0 as a child 5yo child :O

He is the obiwan to our luke skywalker. His was a needed sacrifice for us reach our true potential storywise. As stupid as it sounds. Besides, how many people even liked the guy before the trailer last night? He was annoying as hell, and now everyones up in arms ready to take on the world because hes dead.

Would be a nice quest.

As sad as I did find his death, I think just reviving him after that would take away from the ending. It'd be like what they did with that secret ending in FFX-2... totally butchered X's sad ending with fanservice. :/

If anything, I, like many others, hope that they make a shrine for old Louis somewhere.

Some of u might be on real surprise if u happen to find him one day "kinda" fine (as in alive, but bandaged-mummy alike and making crack jokes. lol )

Hey, it was done in chrono trigger...

He'll live on... someones bound to name their character 'Louisoix' anyways.

Let's see if SE decide to put the final nail to his coffin. :p
