My theory is Shinryu

Ok that hulking monster breaks free from the 12s power, Now this was an impressive feat beating 12 gods with just your own.

This tells me that this thing is of "Godly" level it self. and from basic FF lore Bahamut is commonly know as the King or the Wyrms.

Shinryu on the other hand is God of the Dragons.

And in FF Dissidia which can hear with a conversation with Ultemicia she says the Shinryu is the Dragon God that destroys the world and makes it anew to restart the cycle. Which can easily work its way into there reoccurring umbral eras.

Anyway, reasons why it's Bahamut are being thrown in every other topic.

Nope. Shinryu is a superboss that much is true, but Bahamut is and has always been considered the strongest with Tiamat/Hydra being the next. Shinryu isn't generally canon in that same nature as he's usually optional.

Shinryu = Snake like dragon. Look at that body.

well yes true but there is a difference also between Wyrms and Dragons wyrms are the more intellent of the species but less powerful while Dragons tend to me the more or less stupid ones with retard strength.

If anything the one wrapped around the downed ship in Mor Dhona looked more like Shinryu, no?

you know i said that about the thing in Mho Dona but people swore up and done that a cutscene or somthing confirmed it as the Midgar Zolom

Let me put this in a speculation type post:

If we assume Bahamut is a Primal or was at least feeding off his prison of Dalamud, what happened when we defeated Ifrit, Garuda and Nael van Darnus? Dalamud absorbed their power. What if the Primals act as a means of keeping Bahamut weak within Dalamud. Splinters of his power that keep him contained, and we freed just enough to give him the strength to resist?

He didn't break out of the seal because the Twelve were weaker.
He broke out of the seal because we made him stronger...

Yes its shinryu, and did you know you can also regen mp by sitting down?

Shinryu is a serpent look at FFXI bahamut and then look at shinryu in ffxi if it was really shinryu then he would look like he did in ffxi. Because SE is using pretty much all the mob models of ffxi into ffxiv.

Also, dont know if this has been said here yet, Darnus absorbs the power of dalamud, uses Megaflare.... comon guys...

If I recall well, bahamut has the power to pretty much whipe not the world completely but just as what he did in the trailer. Reminds me of Bahamut Zero from FF7, when he blasted the planet in his cutscene .__. Plus, the way they structure him in the video, clearly made it obvious it was seriously bahamut xD even all my friends behind me said it in surprise; was so hoping to see him before 2.0 > < PS, I learned and found that Bahamut is a child of the dragon god Io. He is also referred to as the God of Dragons or the Lord of the North Wind. (For those dungeon and dragon players, Bahamut has a long history and is involved in the religious belief of dragons being gods and what not.) <3 Dragons.
