Lol, you know that SE will NEVER, EVER allow this, right? I got 5 relics already. Keeping them would be an enormous punch in the face to those that actually worked for em.

That said, I wouldn't be opposed to some sort of persistent reward to those that decided to stay and fight after the last save. Maybe a bit of progression towards the relic itself?

I'm not saying I would not want to work for my relic but if people who already have them are going to cry more I think we should keep them >.> at least 1 just so everyone QQs how everyone has a relic and the elites will go on crying saying ONLY REALL ELITES HAVE MORE THEN ONE RELIC and my head will hurt even more over the damned subject

I wouldn't say never. They gave away relics and mythics in contests during Vanafest (or was it just random lots). I would say that I wouldn't mind either way, but if they did let us keep them, I would prefer that they only let us keep relics for one job (PLD technically has 2, although the 2 are equivalent to other jobs' one).

Personally, I'd build my own relic anyway... But I don't understand (and never will) the utter jealousy people would hold for people who had an easier ride. It was the same in XI when someone would win a relic/mythic through Vanafest.

I'm kind of hating this event, its taking away the mystique away from relics. now what do I have left to work towards? something I had already? meh

I do not have a Relic and I do not want to keep the one I got for free. There would be just that much less for me to work on in 2.0 and that's just not fun for me.

Just my 2 cents.

That being said, I don't understand anyone who is mad about people getting free relics AFTER THE SAVE.

Dear Yoshi-P and the entire Dev Team,

Thank you very much for the the relics... please let us keep them in 2.0 on the condition that people who actually quested for the real relics have their weapons elevated to a +1 or +2... (stats increase of 40% or 50%).

Btw, I am still waiting for my "Nael Darnus Imperial suit of Pwnage" armour" under my pillow.

I don't mind earning it as long as the only thing holding me back is not a money issue Q___Q/

They probably won't let us keep them.

Would it be nice? yes! As Ramesses said, it would be great to find some way to allow it with a huge advantage given to those who worked for the real thing, but SE is just not going to do that. For those of us that hadn't the money nor the time to get the real relic, of course we aren't going to complain if they let us keep it, but those who did work hard for it are not going to be happy, even with a +1-+2 Relic.

I'm all for a reward for those who stuck around till server shutdown, but nothing as controversial as this~

I think your reward is playing the game. You're not being charged anything to play right now; why would you get a reward?

All what we do in 1.0 after 11/1 remains in 1.0

I'm not liking either post because this is another like clicking factory topic to get you more medals.

I didn't even want to start my relic until 2.0 and can safely say, as a person without a relic weapon, I would not like it if they let people keep them from this event. Not that I think SE is that dumb, it seems like its all in good fun.

You can now test which weapon you would like more and then do the quest for this weapon first. ^^
And there is the reward to do CS videos with relict weapons, too ^^

This. Why does everyone feel so entitled to a reward for logging into a game after a certain date?

I really agree with this. Ive put in a lot of time into the relic quest to get my stardust rod. I'm on CC TA's nd decided to stop there since dungeons r changing in 2.0.

Now i get the rod for free nd get to use it as much as like, and even worse, now everyone has it. so in 2.0 might be "meh, been there, done that."

i'd consider them a gift for playing 1.0

We where warned, multiple times: Anything that happens after the final save won't carry over to 2.0.
We had several discussions about how we wouldn't beg to keep the things we got after the final save.
