Do you think SE maybe will pull a fast one in regards to the Nov 1 to 11 dates

I know that they said the final save would be November 1st, but do you think they might do something after the fact between those 2 dates and save the data?

Maybe an achievement like "witnessed the end of the world." Or a mini event? Or they decide to save data?

I would imagine a lot of people would be quite angry if they changed the final save date.

We very well might get an event, but they stopped saving data today, so no more achievements.

I'd like them to pull a fast one and invite me into alpha, beta, and their homes.

That would be very very bad, seeing as a bunch of people decided 'for the hell of it' to do stuff like blow up all their gear attempting quintuple melds and spend all their gil on junk they don't actually want just to dress up.

So.... If they saved anyway, people would be mad as hell, so I highly doubt they're gonna do that.

They could always add an achievement to all the characters imported from 1.0 during the saves conversion

yep yep.

Just a little tweek that says everyone who went through the end did so. Though they already have the Legacy achievement which everyone got ... except some who didn't qualify. And we get a new chocobo and some new gear just because we did this. Hmmmmm. They really are doing a lot of tweeking... including putting us all through some sort of time warp and world save typical of FF. And dividing all our money by 10. And pushing our excess gear to a NPC.... Boy... Lots of stuff going on.

I hope so honestly, people blowing shit up then SE announces the save was actually 2 days from the server closing..oh man good times.

I could see them doing a different final save for lodestone, unrelated to FFXIV final save, just for achievements that are lodestone only.

It has been confirmed already that Lodestone Character Profile will NOT be updated anymore as well. So no save will be made.

It's not out of the realm of impossible. SE has gone back on their words many times. They'll do so, people will rage, but it'll be forgotten in awhile just like any other time it has happened.
