Could we get an option to work with the same options, or their 2.0 equivalent, when making a character? I'd like it to be as similar as my original as possible.
It'd be nice if you could "load your character" settings when recreating it, and adjust them on the character creator as you see fit

They stated they're going to work on a settings file from the Character Creator benchmark so you can use that for ARR Character creation.
Your current avatar will obviously be loaded and you can change that when it's possible, but it won't be possible at launch otherwise I'm not sure what the concern is lol. -

Just take a reference screenshot of your character up close if you are worried. (front and profile)
The options were, and will be, limited enough that re-creating your char in 2.0 should be relatively easy. -

I remember reading somewhere that they'll tell us how to save/import our current character designs to 2.0. I wouldn't worry too much.
As proof I'm on your side though, I also am incredibly attached to my character. When I heard the new engine would render us a bit different, I panicked. I love the way Llen looks and I absolutely do not want to lose any ounce of her. We'll be fine though, I'm sure of it. -

I think you're missing what many of these people mean. We as returning players have the "option" of redesigning our characters come 2.0, it's not going to be that we HAVE to change them. ie what we look like now will be the same in 2.0, with new engine limitations aside of course. So they're saying if you're really THAT bothered by it, you can go beyond that and take some screen shots.
Because when you think about it, all the choices you made for your look are literally saved in the data. -

Thought i read somewhere that you have up to 6 months to undergo your changes to character appearance which if true means you start out as your original character by default.
