1) Quests that will expire come 2.0 - It would be nice to have a list of which sidequests / storyline quests will no longer exist come 2.0 (7th Umbral Storyline being the obvious ones but there will likely be others). This would allow many of us to try to complete these and see elements of story that will no longer exist.
2) Grand Company Seals: Should I be spending these now? Will they still exist? Will they be used for promotions in 2.0 that I should save them for an upcoming promotion requirement?
3) Grand Company Ranks: Will be reverting back to the recruit / lowbie ranks come 2.0? Would it be wise to take advantage of our high ranks at this point in time and buy the gear with our seals?

2) your seal will be trasfered as are now, and will have the same purposes
3)your rank will be the same. Since you can switch grand company thou, if you do your rank will be the lowest. If you switch back to the precedent gc, you'll have back seals and rank -

1) The whole quest system is changing so the current quests are basically out. Of course stuff like job quest etc. will be ported in a way. GC and main story line are of course changing

I haven't seen anything regarding whether our rank is resetting or not, but personally I doubt it. Climbing the GC ladder directly tied into progression of the 7th Umbral Story, so by the time you were ready to take on van Darnus, you were an esteemed member of your GC with close ties to your leader. I can't see that all going poof like nothing happened, but who knows? -

All I really want to know is if Sentinel's gear will be 1.0 exclusive. If so, I'd like to go about finishing off the set before the final save. More than likely though it will be a common quest-able item. It's pretty much useless at this point but it looks cool.

I think people are misinterpreting the info about quests- It was said that your *progress on quests* would be reset- it didn't say that all those quests would be removed. Some of them may be, but you need to be careful making assumptions about things that haven't been explicitly stated.
