New Map

Right after the aftermath of Dalamud. Explore ruins of Coerthas in 2.0. Be able to travel back to the past where everything ended. This map is like 20-100 years in the future after the Dalamud crashed. Its not at currect time of 2.0.

Reentry 20mins
Ride Chocobo's aloud for first 20mins
Start near middle of the map

I do like the idea, it would be a pretty fun event, especially with the 'unknown' song playing that people theorize as the song we'll hear the final week.

Hmmm this could work well with a 1hr time limit instead of 5hrs. Im honestly not a fan of content put on timers though which is everything we have seen so far in ffxiv.

Someone misses XI.

First of all the entire "Dynamis" concept is bound to FFXI by design.

Secondly, Not only is the system outdated, they tweaked it so vastly so people would still do it in FFXI because the days of spending hours and hours in an instanced zone are gone.

Sorry, I must have missed Hamlet Defense..since that's essentially Dynamis..also known as Besieged...also known as Campaign...yeah don't drop any 'outdated" terms here, it's a PvE system that pretty much any later MMOs adapted in some fashion. Also:

No. They changed it because the level cap raises negated the need for it to be an actual event in it's original design and they changed it to be more of an open zone to allow people to push through older content (relics). You still do it for hours and hours instead of every 3 days you can do it for hours everyday..so I don't know which FFXI you played, it's surely not the one that exists as of today >.>

2 hours Max Everyday, timer resets after JP midnight, zone is open to everyone, mobs are free roaming now, entry item is a one time 50k, and drops are pretty much use triggers like abyssea but vary on the type based on the job of the mob.

i sure hope ARR get different events not old annoying stuff from other games.

people hate kill quest right?
yet every instance is just that. they really need to start making actually quest with something else you need to do to get it done, not just hit monsters then win. other wise its another been there done that.

relics aren't "older content." They can go up to level 99 now. And I agree with the sentiment that nobody but the most hardorer players really wanted to spend 4 hours+ on a single event run.

Stop suggesting we bring things from XI over. This isn't XI, and the feature suggested is extremely obtuse and outdated by today's standards.

Hmmm, I think it was still a LOT more fun than any of this "30 minutes max, non-tiered, must-spam PSO-wannabe content which every average action MMO does better" which XIV delivered during the past 2 years.

Part of what makes this completely pointless was even if they were to implement something like this, the areas are being revamped. You're completely wasting your time mapping out a route through the current areas.

I would hardly call Dynamis "fun", lol. Was a flowchart sweatshop.

I'd rather play 1.0 over again than have a dynamis-eque style time sink in xiv, ill never do that again.

this guy is having fun and sharing a well thought out idea - i think it's pretty cool, op. not sure if i'd like to see it in 2.0 but it's definitely pretty neat.

I sincerely disagree. Venat has begun a requesting multiple additions spree. I'm saying if he is sincere about this he should work his way up as a Square-Enix employee if he would like to implement these ideas. He just keeps spamming anything that comes to him ever. Five seconds from now he will make 9 more threads. 1 requesting a male hippo mob and another requesting a female hippo mob. and the other 7 requesting more of this exact same event but done differently by just a little bit.
