Best Bow In -Game?

Hello Everyone! :) Do anyone know what is the best bow in-game? The AF Bow / Artemis Bow isnt the best bow in-game. When Artemis Bow was out i was thinking that was the bow in-game but no it inst. Maybe the Grand Company bows? They are realy good bows. I use Serpent Lituant`s Bow. Do you know what bow is the best?

Any particular reason you think that Artemis isn't?

Artemis Bow IS the best bow in the game.

Bows are a funny weapon in 1.0.

The delay has no impact on the DPS whatsoever as Light shot is always 5 seconds so high damage, high delay bows will always be better in regards to Light shot.

The DPS stat does still influence your weapon skill damage however so watch out for that.

Artemis bow has a delay of 4.1 which is one of the highest in regards to a bow.
Ifrit is 4.3, Mogbow and Giantsgall are 4.2 and Garuda is 3.1

Whilst this bow has a nice DPS of 40.30 (Garuda is 40.96 to put that in persepctive) it has a very low delay of 3.3 (Garuda us 3.1) and a low damage of 77 (Garuda is 3.1).
It's not the worst bow in the entire world but it's definately nothing on Artemis which is 41.93 DPS, 4.1 delay and 116 damage.

Because it shares the name of the Greek Goddess of the hunt? What other reason would one need...

If you're going to post about BRD, at least try not to be terribly wrong.

The delay on the bow does effect light shot, the fact that you don't know this indicates that you've never used a 3.1s bow.

Isn't it Relic > Ul'dah GC ~ Garuda > Everything?

Most players will get better mileage with the Uldah Lieutenant bow.

I use Garuda's bow actually. Just ran out of town to see if it was 5 seconds or not. It's a 3 second recast!

I always remember our Bards in Garuda taking 4 hits to get enough TP in Garuda using her bow instead of 3 hits with Ifrit bow. The TP gained per hit is relative to the delay on the weapon. It was insinuated that the Garuda bow was just as slow as the Ifrit bow but perhaps I should have checked this out myself first. Normally I'd say if I was making assumptions!

If your weapon is 3.1s delay, you will get 310TP per hit. This delay also determines TP gained from any attack, be it Shoulder Tackle, Throw, etc. All of these actions are enhanced by StoreTP, however minor that enhancement may actually be.

Mind Blown.

I did not know that about Tackle and Throw. I thought they had their own static amount. Like 250?

Flame Lieutenant's Bow Damage 109 Delay 4.1 DPS 40.24 Attack Power : +30, Flame gear set (5): Accuracy +20

Garuda's Spine Damage 71 Delay 3.1 DPS 40.97 Crit Attack Power : +40, Accuracy : +25, Wind Resistance : +15, Adds Wind Damage

Artemis Bow Damage 116 Delay 4.1 DPS 41.95 Increases song duration , Accuracy : +40, Attack Power : +15, Enmity : -30

Artemis has the highest DPS and Damage of any Bow.
DPS effects Weapon Skills
Damage effects Auto Attack
+ Barrage, and I believe Quick Knock, which are uneffected by Delay.

....and Increases Song Duration.

Please show how Artemis is not the best Bow. Unless this is a trick question based on the fact that Archer can't equip the Artemis Bow?

I use the Uldah GC set with a few double melds. I'd say the bow is 2nd best compared to Relic. Still looking for a triple melded ATK Power gloves for that increase in damage though. Personally I like the look of Uldah's bow over the rest in the game currently. Relic bow just looks stupid imo. You can't even play the harp ;_;
