I don't suppose this will be carried over to 2.0?
I hope it is carried over.
I think I have capped mine so I would love for it to carry over.
Considering that it will be even easier to level in ARR, it'll probably carry over in concept but reset current player's due to foundation changes most likely. If not, may as well cap it out now.
Why wouldn't it be?
The likelihood of it carrying over is a 50/50 shot right now. Honestly, it's anyones' guess. I personally think it won't make it over.
i sure hope not because leveling is way too easy right now.
People say harder because the exp rate at 50 > 51 seems 160k+ more xp, however SE is throwing in the Quest Grind system which is basically doing the same c/p quest over and over and throw in a leveling dungeon here and there and you'll be maxed out pretty quickly.
Unless of course they don't get that system right and we actually can monster grind and the like, then it'll probably 'harder' if PLing is taken out.
Rested XP is a pretty common mechanic in modern MMOs, so I don't see why it wouldn't be in ARR.
Considering that it's an incentive to relieve strain on the servers, by way of moving your character data to a temp holding space, I think it will be in 2.0.
I guess our rested exp start with 0 again right at the ARR launch.
I think rested bonus should stay, but just for crafting/gathering. I am getting so tired of seeing people who PL classes and dont have the first clue on how to play them.
I dont have an issue with PL'ing, but come on guys. Learn to play a job before you do it in endgame content. I actually had someone say to me in game "oh? Whm has nukes!?". I had to /facepalm in rl there. This person had a 50 whm.
Im thinking part of their reasoning for the quest based system is to force people to learn the mechanics of each job. +1 to them for that.
I think i need to clarify. IF they decide to get rid of it I'd like to see it stay for crafting and gathering. Oure right in that it makes no difference for battle classes. It gets used up so quickly it might as well not exist.
Example plz.
Actually getting off your ass and not getting PL'd a decent resting bonus lasts awhile because it doesn't count toward bonus xp from leves or quests, therefore while you get a tiny bonus on mob kills, when you complete the leve you don't get a boosted bonus due to rest.
When you join a grind party it lasts a bit longer than PLing due to split xp differences.
Could this be rested?

It is not the EXP TNL, so not sure what it represents. (there is nothing like this nore the square numbers on the PC UI so could be something else completely).
I thought it was the funny G symbol for gil XD
And again to the rested bit - just remove it for all of us. I dont want to be flying by new players and making any content harder then it already is for them, we already have experience over them. Lets not make it any harder for them to play with us.
(Or give all new/old players full rested exp as well)
How do you accumulate rested EXP? I may as well fill mine up just in case since we are getting a new class.
Rested exp is just stupid, why should people who play less than I get an advantage over me, or have to kill less mobs than me? Terrible "modern" f2p stuff should stay with f2p games.
I would guess that the ability to rest XP will still be in ARR, but your current rested xp probably wont carry over.
Yes i do know how to level correctly. I was asking you what specifically you were talking about. No reason to be an asshole.
If you play only about 3 days a week, then yeah ok maybe it does last a bit. If you play even an hour or two a day rested xp is used, and its not a big difference. So im assuming then you feel that only playing to level every few days with a decent xp bonus is better than once a day with a small one? I think the xp in the latter is a better option. That my friend is a /facepalm.
Of course the latter is the better choice, but some people don't have that choice because they don't have enough time in their day. I just don't get your reasoning for wanting it taken out. A small bonus is still a bonus and some people have no interest in gathering and crafting.
