No more player bazaar?

WTF IS UP WITH THAT!? I have nothing to say to this, I'm like in awe....... Don't even know why they have to take this out, seriously. Please keep the player bazaar

Seriously, they are getting rid of really nice elements from the game just to make it another MMO, just like the rest.

The bazaar is being removed because
1) People abused it as storage and to carry extra U/U items
2)Nearly nobody used it for its actual intended purpose, making checking people's bazaars a total waste of time.

Being able to sell twice as much stuff on the market IMO more than makes up for this.

Excuse me if this comes off as ignorant, but what's the point? With gear no longer taking up slots and retainer space going up, what's the point of having player bazzars? Also, the search feature for the market ward is being improved and we can sell even more items now per retainer. Not to mention that a while ago SE confirmed the markets were being unified in 2.0.

So while it may seem like a con, the pros that we're getting far outweigh the con.

HEy guess what, I think it's stupid that it was made for storage, all they have to do is have the items stay in your invinotry, and the only ones that will use it are the people trying to sell something. Easy fix. There is no reason to get rid of it, just make it better.

No way, did you even play FFXI, I got TONS of gear from bazaars and items, just have to look, also if we could have bazaar messages that would be amazing, also I can't believe I have to argue about this issue.

Actually, that never stopped the issue in FFXI, it won't here. Maybe you never played that game and saw the bazaars full of heart chocolates and important items they placed in their bazaar for 99999999 gil because they "didn't want to lose them."

I personally have actually never really understood Bazaars, and I played FFXI for almost 8 years. Then again, I was also never the type to really try to optimize my gil usage. I, for one, won't feel one way or the other about this issue, but I think you're making somewhat of a mountain out of a molehill on this one.

Nope, because my server was the smart server and everyone moved back inside town where they should have been in the first place. And even among the people bazaaring in that matter, people still had shit up for 9999999. Often all their other stuff is sold and you end up checking a bunch of people who have bazaar icons up but don't really have anything for sale which is really annoying. Besides that, you can't use the search function on bazaars so its a lot harder than just using the market which is why everyone does it that way.

You don't have to be difficult about everything Rokien. Some things are just for the best.

The only reason you need to justify player bazaars: rolanberry fields.

Don't pretend like i'm the only ffxi player who enjoyed checking player bazaars just to see what they were showing off...

No one in their right mind would check a bazaar under the pretense that their would be something to buy. Everyone knows it's for storage or epeen purposeses.

You are. I also hated going out to batallia just to find the less common items that people were selling (everyone says rolanberry but on my server it was batallia), which is why I couldn't possibly have been happier when people moved back into town after the removal of jeuno taxes. Still, I would have rather had people putting that stuff on the ah instead.

While I don't feel one way or the other about Bazaars themselves. But you do all know that there is a very considerable overhead consideration to this decision as well? Bazaars encourage players to leave their characters logged on even when AFK, which in turn places undue stresses on the servers just to maintain character data for players who aren't even playing. Every incentive they give for players to log of when they're not playing translates directly into a raw improvement in server stability and speed.

It's one of the reasons that, from a programmatic perspective, EVE's skill system is pure genius. It ensures that people will continue to play (since you can't progress content wise without logging in regularly) but at the same time guarantees that everyone who is not at that moment playing is logged off - saving resources for other players.

Aren't the current market wards essentially Rolanberry/Battalia anyway, just with a search function? A eerily silent mass of idly-looming bazaar zombies staring off at nothing... with maybe a 1:37 chance of them having something you actually are in the market for. (Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass)

I put stuff up in my bazaar with good prices, nobody bought them. I check others bazaar I see stuff like iron ore for 1 million each or something else for 9999999999. If I have to stand in one place all day for shit in my bazaar to get sold I might as well put them up on my retainer in the wards.

Like the poster above said, just quit the game Rokien and go play something else.

MW just need enough room for everyone on the server to setup shop, right now if its not in ul'dah its hard to sell anything, atleast they'll be linked in ARR.

nobody never used them for what they were met for anyway not in this game or in FFXI.......

Oh wow. They took out a feature that 99% of the community didn't use for its intended purpose. This game is going to be horrible now.
